The farm has been really producing all sorts of goodies for your dinner table. We've been picking lots of
cherry tomatoes in all colors and shapes - lots of them heirlooms. So yummy! And the
eggplant has started to be harvested. Not only the big fat traditional ones, but some nice little lavender and white ones. I always think that the smaller varieties tend to be less bitter. I know the seeds are smaller! And the squash! Poor Farmer Joe is getting tired of it,

but with so many varieties of
summer squash, I can't help but cook it up a few nights a week. Last night I sliced a bunch of different varieties and colors up, sliced an onion, chopped a few mushrooms up, added salt, pepper, butter, and garlic. Wrapped it all in foil, and Joe cooked it

on the grill. Who needs meat when
summer veggies taste so good? And I haven't even mentioned the
corn yet!!
Yummmm. This has been our best berry season yet. I'm missing the raspberries, but know there will be more later. Now they're picking big fat
blackberries!!
Blueberries are awesome right now.
Donna has us all hooked on the most refreshing summer salad ever. She had it first at La Belle Aurore restaurant a while ago(one of my favorite places to eat). I'm sure that Dawn has some secret something to add to the salad, but basically - Watermelon, Mint, and Feta Cheese sprinkled on top. So refreshing!! Try it, it's a great something new to bring to your next picnic! We've had it for lunch several times lately.
