Advanced Training: Prevention and Treatment of Pre and Perinatal Shock and Trauma
The TARA Approach to Treatment during Pregnancy and Birth ~ This course will be in two parts. Part One will be open to the general public. It includes an evening presentation on the Prenatal Origins of Health, describing the origins of the nervous and endocrine systems and pre and perinatal psychology. This will be followed by a daylong program on the Rediscovery Process for accessing cellular memory. Advanced students will then participate in a two and a half day program on TARA Approach treatment for mother and baby during prenatal life and birth. This will include structural and cranial treatment as well as emotional and spiritual support. Embryogenesis is included (the correlation between embryology and energy anatomy). Treatment during pregnancy and birth helps prevent post-partum depression and protects against traumatic birth. It also assures attunement, attachment and bonding.

May is the month of Mothers and the perfect time to celebrate Darcy Kamin, RN, TARA Approach Advanced Practitioner. We are deeply honored and blessed to be represented in service by Darcy! Darcy Kamin is the inspiration behind the TARA Approach Family Clinics. It was her vision to create an environment in which the burdens of pre and perinatal trauma and shock could be taken off the brains and shoulders of children. Darcy saw the importance of educating parents about pre and perinatal experience from the child's point of view and implemented a design to make this happen. Now these clinics are in demand around the world!
Darcy has had an ongoing private practice in parent education and lactation consultation in the Boulder-Denver area for over twenty years. She is a mother's best friend, especially expectant and overwhelmed mothers. She incorporates the TARA Approach in her services which have expanded to working with parents and their infants/children of all ages, and especially enjoys working with mother's and their peri-pubescent daughters.
Darcy Kamin embodies the principles of parenting from within. She understands the nervous system and how it develops in utero and throughout the primal period. Most importantly, she knows how to support the innate health of the nervous system and to guide a child to that health in non-invasive, empowering ways.

How do we develop the resilience of mind and body required to sustain the radical shifts in a fast-changing world and the needs of humanity during this unprecedented acceleration? The TARA Approach is a compassionate design intended to put into the hands of many the practical, effective and clinically proven interventions that enhance the potential of the nervous system to respond to enormous upheaval. Because of the crucial importance now of transmitting the TARA Approach to more and more people, I am pleased to announce
THE APPRENTICESHIP OPTION.
THE APPRENTICESHIP OPTON (TAO) is open to all TARA Approach students who have a Foundations Certificate and who want to go to a higher level of art and skill. TAO is offered in a three or six day format.
TAO inc ludes:
1.Treatment shadowing for adult and pediatric applications (this includes thorough de-briefing);
2. Personal mentorship and treamtnet;
3. Credit for advanced certification;
4. Advanced texts and charts, including advanced material that has never been shared before; and
5.Support in preparing for certification at higher levels, including teacher certification.
THE APPRENTICESHIP OPTION may be experienced in the TARA Studio in Eldorado Springs, Colorado or "on location" if Dr. Mines is in residence or teaching elsewhere.
The tuition for the three day option is $2500. This includes three full days (10 AM - 5 PM) of advanced training.
The tuition for the six day option is $5500. This includes six full days (10 AM - 5 PM) of advanced training.
To schedule your APPRENTICESHIP OPTION, please contact Dr. Mines directly at tara-approach@prodigy.net. Payment must be made in advance to secure your agreed upon dates. All payments are entirely non-refundable but may be transferred to other dates if necessary, but these dates must be within one year of the originally scheduled program. All tuitions benefit the TARA Approach outreach including clinical trials and documentation designed to make the resources of the TARA Approach broadly available.

The TARA Approach is taught in hospitals, universities, social service agencies, domestic violence shelters, at midwifery schools, and wherever there is a need and an organizational structure to support its delivery.
The TARA Studio in Eldorado Springs, Colorado, has been home base since the program's inception in 1995. Small groups meet there for highly personalized mentorship and study with Dr. Mines. TARA Approach programs are currently ongoing in Colorado, Hawaii, Spain, Washington, Oklahoma, Oregon and Mexico, and rapidly spreading throughout the US and abroad.
