The TARA Approach (Tools for Awakening Resources and Awareness), developed by Dr. Stephanie Mines, is an integrative healthcare approach that empowers the individual to bring their own nervous system into balance after overwhelming experiences. The integration of nervous system responses to stressors must be recognized and treated in order to allow sustainable resolution of chronic illness, disease, and structural issues. The TARA Approach has been tested in clinical trials and is currently in use in hospitals and healthcare agencies throughout the world.

The areas of greatest restriction in our bodies are often
caused by overwhelming shock and trauma. Using the TARA
Approach to assess and treat the roots of these restrictions
allows you to move to the source of symptoms more
efficiently and accurately, thereby fostering long lasting
health and healing. When we attune to the connective
tissue using the art and skills of pulse listening and dialogue,
the body tells us the entire story of our lives. The capacity
to attune and assess using the pulses, language, and
dialogue is critical to working with the overwhelming shock
and trauma that compromise us structurally, developmentally,
and spiritually. Emphasis in the Level 1 training is on
attunement, assessment, and treatment strategies.
The learning environment will be highly experiential.
Self-Care is a prerequisite to take this class.

Our experiences from conception through birth build the blueprint from which our structural, emotional, relational, spiritual, and energetic developmental capacities are formed. When we identify, treat, and repattern our earliest experiences of trauma our capacity for health, wellbeing, relationship, and balance grow exponentially. In understanding the deepest routes of our wounding we can begin the process of reclaiming our lives. In this reclamation we free ourselves from the limitations of the past and orient towards the infinite possibilities and strengths we embody in the present moment. This training will be highly experiential. The prerequisites for Level 2 are Self-Care and Level 1.
