The firm is experienced with conceptual design through detailed production engineering of  commercial vessels, custom luxury yachts and production boats in FRP, aluminum and steel.  BMD also provides support for existing fleets with on-going maintenance and refit engineering such as vessel life extension plans and stability analysis.

About BMD

BMD was founded by Naval Architect/Marine Engineer, Nicholas Boksa, P.E. in April 2003 as a fully operational design firm working on many luxury yacht design and commercial marine design programs.  Today the Tampa, Florida based firm is comprised of two divisions, BMD Yachts and BMD Commercial, providing quality design globally - assisting both builders as well as vessel owners.
