Greetings!

Reflexology's impact on the brain is just now being explored both with post traumatic stress disorder and the the third in our functional MRI series on vision centers in the brain.

Where it goes from here is anyone's guess. It is in one way supremely logical that the foot as a part of the locomotive system does in fact interplay with the brain and it's function. the question becomes can this intimate relationship be harnessed for changing the way our bodies function.

for reflexology to effect the human casualties of violent and natural occurrences around the world. Research has shown reflexology to effect post traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) as well as its common symptoms. With numbers of PTSD victims rising, the benefits of reflexology could be wide-spread around the world and among individuals of all ages.

"Vision Deficits" Reflex Area Work
Brain Visions Centers of the Brain

In an fMRI study by Hong Kong researchers, reflexology technique stimulation of the eye reflex area activated a region of the brain matching acu-point stimulation of stroke patients with vision defects but not the visual part of the brain. The researchers worked under the hypothesis that the the corresponding (visual) cortex would be activated.

What's up in the world of reflexology? The answer is as close as your computer.  Reflexology Web pages in any one of twenty-two languages are translated into English for your enjoyment and edification thanks to Google Translate. The languages range from Arabic to Swedish.

Start by going to "Google Translate" and click on "Translated Search." Type "Reflexology" in the "Search for" box, select a language and you're off. Once you get your fill of one search, go on to another. Try "Foot reflexology" or "Reflexology research."
