20 students from around the Midwest are about to show off just what they can do.

The task: shop at Goodwill to find items which can be remade or embellished to look like new clothing.
Students had to design a line...some with 4 looks, many with six.
The students were judged a few weeks ago but won't know the results until this Friday night.

Friday, May 7th at the Sheraton in Overland Park.
Tickets are $75 each to benefit the Friends of JCDS. An organization that helps members of our community lead their lives without restrictions and barriers. It helps give jobs, build wheel chair ramps, accessible vans and more.

Here is the pattern:
New idea/drug/treatment comes out,
said new product is expensive
about 6 months later someone copies the idea/formula etc. and makes it more affordable to the masses,
those charging the high prices stomp their feet and wave their arms about the new cheaper product being unsafely administered, unfairly marketed, etc.

A year or so ago it was teeth whitening services. Today it seems to be eyelash treatments.
