The CircusTeens Present a
 Brave New Circus

brave new circus clown
Greetings!

The CircusTeens of CircEsteem invite you to come see a Brave New Circus. Inspired by Aldous Huxley, this first ever youth created, directed, and produced circus show addresses ideas of individuality and subverting the dominant paradigm. These lessons are taught by a clown who stumbles through a perfectly ordered world and creates chaos.

Circus acts include high skilled club juggling, gym wheel, trapeze, trampoline, and acrobatics and are presented by the CircusTeens. These young performers are part of CircEsteem's youth employment in the arts program that hires the most talented and skilled teen performers and teachers. Collectively, they have performed thousands of shows throughout the United States, Germany, Switzerland and Argentina. The cast includes Junior National and World Champions on the Gym Wheel amongst many other talented youth.

Don't miss this great opportunity to support local, grassroots, youth centered, social circus in action.

Sunday February 28 at 4pm, at Alternatives Inc. 4730 N Sheridan, Chicago, IL.
Tickets are $7 for adults and $5 for kids. Tickets can be purchased at the door and all proceeds go directly to the CircusTeens.

About CircusTeens

The CircusTeens job program was developed in 2004 with a generous grant from the Illinois Arts Council, to give CircEsteem's older and more responsible students the opportunity to make money doing something they enjoy. CircusTeens learn how to enter the workforce with a positive attitude, be responsible, and proactive. They also learn about budgeting, credit cards, the various ways of compounding interest and basic money-saving skills. To join the CircusTeens program, our high-school students need to maintain at least a C average in school, present a positive attitude and demonstrate an ability to teach and mentor younger students.

CircusTeens are vital to all of our programming. They are the lead counselors for CircEsteem's annual Summer Camp and assistant teachers during HomeWork & CircusWork. The CircusTeens are some of CircEsteem's best performers and can be seen dazzling audiences all over Chicago and the world.
