Kingsburg Coastal Conservancy connection!

Saltscapes' September-October edition tells the remarkable story of West Ironbound's lightkeepers from 1961 - 1966.
Lynne Wolfe was only 16 when she and her husband Ingrim moved to West Ironbound with their baby.
"There were hardships, yes, but life was sweet - and the work was truly a labour of love." So begins Saltscape's latest feature in their series, roots & folks: first person.
This story is near and dear to Kingsburg Coastal Conservancy. Their campaign to preserve the 120-acre West Ironbound Island officially began in July 2010 when KCC used the last of its property funds to purchase half of the island. Since then, they've been fund-raising for the other half.
Gaff Point and Hirtle's Beach provides a unique area of protection and access in this part of Nova Scotia's South Shore. With the addition of West Ironbound Island, the three properties will offer 264 acres of environmental protection and 9 km of public coastal access in one continuous zone.
Not surprisingly, KCC asked us to load Saltscapes Ironbound feature on their website. I wasn't planning on reading the entire story at that moment, but once I started, I couldn't stop!

Scam alert - Domain Registry of Canada | |
They're at it again - new message, same old scam
EVERYWHERE - One of our clients forwarded us a very official-looking email they received . . . and for a few minutes, I was confused! In part, it reads:
Order #113908: The transfer and renewal of your domain name is not yet complete at this time.
Reason: 1) The Domain name is currently in a "REGISTRAR-LOCK" status with your current registrar TUCOWS.COM CO. 2) We require that you provide us with an EPP Key/Authorization Code from your current registrar In order to complete the transfer and renewal, the "REGISTRAR-LOCK" status needs to be removed and an EPP Key/Authorization code needs to be obtained. Please see below for instructions on achieving this.
Solution: Log into your account with your current registrar, and change the status of your domain from "locked" to "active." Then look for the EPP Key or Authorization Code.
Alternate Solution: Call your current registrar, TUCOWS.COM CO. (see phone number below) and ask them to remove the lock status of your domain name, give you your EPP Key, and allow the transfer to Domain Registry of Canada. Once done please notify us that you have done so, by clicking on the link below, or calling our toll-free number below.
Now I understand!
Over the years, we've written about the Domain Registry of Canada And the Domain Registry of America several times. They use direct mail as well as email to encourage recipients to transfer their domain to them. Adding insult to injury, they'll charge much more each year for the privilege.
