Welcome to our new - & return - clients & subscribers!

This past month we've been putting the focus on photography. To better serve our clients, we've invested in an equipment upgrade - including a Pentax K5 camera body - many thanks to Eric Hayes for his advice and Henry's in Halifax for their great service.
We've posted three new photo pages - two for weddings and one for a family afternoon at the beach.
Of course, as with every month, we've kept busy with the website part of our business. Updates, additions, and the beginnings of some new sites!
Comments on any of our projects and story ideas are always welcome. As are enquiries about our services - email Jodie or Allan Or call 902-766-4548. More: Get the whole LuckyDuck story!

THMs are back in the news | |
What are THMs?
BRIDGEWATER & BEYOND - THMs are trihalomethanes, chemical compounds that can be formed when water is disinfected with chlorine.
THMs occur when chlorine reacts with organic matter in water, and for this reason are more common in surface water (municipal) supplies throughout Canada.

K5 Pentax!
NOVA SCOTIA - We're delighted to better serve our clients with a recent upgrade to our photo equipment. I first used Pentax in 1986 while working as a newspaper reporter. The all-but indestructible K1000 was recognized as a hard-working tool of the trade. In fact, it's still in use at Nova Scotia College of Art and Design. While discussing my present-day options with photographer extraordinaire Eric Hayes, I was very pleased with his recommendation to stay with Pentax . . . in particular a K5 would be his model-of-choice. This photo was from my first round of test shots using our new camera and 50 - 200mm lens (hand held). It certainly brings out the beauty of a simple thistle.

"There aren't enough tradespeople with websites."
| | So says a recent Haligonian | EVERYWHERE - While photographing Charles Lantz Cabinetry's latest contemporary kitchen, the Halifax homeowner said, "We found Charles on the Internet." At the time, she and her husband were living out-of-province, with the intention of moving back.
"The website was very helpful," she recalls. "There aren't enough tradespeople with websites. It makes it difficult when the person isn't from here." Let's explore your website options!
