Workmanship & functionality!
SOUTH SHORE - Gail & Mike are delighted with their new CLC country kitchen.
Mike is particularly impressed with the degree of workmanship and functionality. Especially considering the 11.5 x 13 foot kitchen is home to four doors and a large fridge." It was a big challenge," he says. "It has been a pleasure to deal with [CLC] and we are very pleased with the results."
"They were so careful with the install," adds Gail. On the last day Trevor brought a small bottle of paint and a tiny brush to cover any marks. "Such attention to detail . . . we are very happy to be back in Nova Scotia."

Website looking dated? Time for a redesign!
EVERYWHERE - Allan came across this Mark Evans' story while reading the online Globe and Mail.
Evans notes as the Web increasingly becomes the way consumers get information about products and services, more companies are realizing their websites need to be well-designed, have clear messaging and meet expectations - whether it's to deliver information or sell . . .
Mark Evans is a principal with ME Consulting, a content and social media strategic and tactical consultancy. He was a technology reporter for more than a decade with The Globe and Mail, Bloomberg News and the Financial Post. Mark is also one of the co-organizers of the mesh, meshUniversity and meshmarketing conferences

Black Duck Gallery - new show June 12 | |
Saving beauty
LUNENBURG - Black Duck presents Sybilann Benitz on Sunday, June 12 at noon and running to Friday, July 15th.
Sybilann was trained formally in England at the Yeovil School of Art in Somerset and London University. She has painted constantly throughout careers in art education, interior design and the antique business. Travels provided involvement in small art communities in Mexico, Spain, Costa Rica and Argentina.
Today she lives in Mahone Bay, surrounded by close views of the sea, boats and, as yet, unspoiled countryside. Her passion for depiction is constant, in oil, acrylic and watercolour. The result is, classic in foundation, but impressionistic and elegant in its effect.
"Our way of life here on the South Shore is fragile," says Sybilann. "This coastline is vulnerable to exploitation. We become protective of that which draws us here. I intend to keep saving beauty wherever I go, and to share it with you for as long as I am able."

Steven Lacey - "old-school" graphic artist
| The British Museum entrance in London. My wife and I were there last July, it was an incredible trip. The museum was an amazing place; just the architecture alone is a jaw dropper. - Steven Lacey |
EVERYWHERE - elder-zone magazine is home to great stories, graphics and information. To date, we have 17 contributors - each with their own page. We are delighted to welcome Steven Lacey to EZ.
Steven is a graphic artist in Nova Scotia with clients across Canada. He is a graduate of Nova Scotia College of Art and Design. Although well-versed in graphic computer programs, Steve gets a kick out of going "old school" when beginning a project - starting with sketchpad, pencil, imagination and well-rounded interests.
Steve is currently working on his website. He can be reached at 902-527-0309.
