lucky's on purple New website - Lunenburg house for sale
Lovely heritage home on seven acres
Lunenburg house for saleLUNENBURG - Tower Hill is home to a beautiful four bedroom Cape, circa 1830. It perches on seven acres with long-established, maintenance-free gardens, a fruit-bearing orchard and century-year-old woods with walking trails.

The home itself remains true to its past - unblemished by clumsy attempts to modernize. And yet, it has all the modern conveniences - and the comfort of newly installed, to-code wiring.

It's hard to believe such a beautiful hideaway is less than three minutes to Lunenburg!

lucky's on purpleNew website - Cathy Cook
Shelburne County singer-songwriter launches cd, website
Cathy Cook singer/songwriterSABLE RIVER - one of the things that makes web design so interesting is the people - no cookie-cutter approach here!

Our clients have a wide range of interests. Some, after our initial meeting/interview, want nothing to do with the site until they can look at it live on the Internet. Others prefer seeing each page as it's completed. A select few play a very active role throughout the development.

Singer-songwriter Cathy Cook is a strong example of the hands-on approach. Not only did she provide us with the copy and photos, she knew exactly what she wanted in the design/look: a website that delivers her vision to her online visitors.

Cathy has been writing songs and performing at concerts, coffeehouses, marches, rallies and fundraisers since she was a teenager.

As a musical mentor, she takes great pride in her Thursday Night Jammers. They have met regularly since the spring of 2006. The half-dozen young performers from Shelburne County are hard at work with guitar, violin, piano, accordion and percussion.

A popular live performer, most recently at a return engagement with Harmony Bazaar, Cathy celebrates her first album, Silk and Steel with another first, her own website.

CLC goes South - way South!

 panama mountains
PANAMA - Charles Lantz Cabinetry logged in some impressive mileage last month. After 16 hours in transit, he finally reached
his destination. Boquete, Panama. The prestigious, scenic mountain town is only 10 miles from Costa Rica. Travelers and new residents alike are drawn to Boquete's year-round spring-like weather, tranquil lifestyle, breathtaking landscapes and friendly residents.

CLC will be returning to the client's 12,000 square foot home at 3,500 feet above sea level. The cabinetry experts have been called on to provide the doors and cabinetry throughout the home - the install will take about three weeks. It will also house a theatre, elevator, generator, maids'
quarters and wine facility.

"There's so much development down there," says Charles, "it's unbelievable. Panama City is mushrooming with highrises and cranes."

Be sure to check out Charles' latest Feature Kitchen! It will be posted live within the next couple of days. "I couldn't be any happier with how the business is going," he says.

lucky's on purple Lucky talks web design : website owners alert!

island, blue sky, blue pondRecently, we've received a couple of panic calls from people who couldn't find their website developer/maintainer and didn't know for sure who owned "their" domain name, who was the webhost and what were their passwords.

Very scary stuff! Last month I was inspired to create a hard-copy document for each of our clients chock full of all sorts of information . . . Sort of like an insurance policy as Wendy Muise noted, we hope it's not needed, but just in case . . .

If you have a website, or are planning on launching a website, be sure you have, at the least, these details in a safe place:
  • Webhost (www address and phone number)
  • How to access your webhost accounts - how to make changes  (including changing your password!)
  • How to access your website control panel (cpanel) - how to make changes  (including changing your password!)
  • Domain name registrar
  • Domain name user name & password
  • How to make changes (including changing your password!)
  • Billing dates
