Greetings!
August
was
another exciting month for LuckyDuck:
New services; New clients; New friends; New
stories! It's been a pleasure through and through
and we
hope you enjoy the results!

LuckyDuck launches new stand-alone services
No need to be a website client to benefit!
You
don't have to be a website client to call on us for
services such as:
- e-newsletters, e-announcements & e-posters
- hard-copy promotions
- photography
But Bridgewater's
Rosmarie
Bradley of Helping Nature Heal, didn't stop at a
LuckyDuck website. Over the past three months,
she's booked all three of these additional
services.
We used website elements including colours, fonts
and logos to give her e-news banner (shown above),
content and
hard-copy products a cohesive look.
Interested in a similar campaign (with or without a
website)? Check us out at www.luckyduckwebdesign.com,
give us a call at 902-766-4548 or send us an
e-mail! We'd be pleased to get together for a
no-obligation chat in person, on the phone
or by e-mail!
If you know someone else who
might benefit
from these services, please forward them
this newsletter by clicking on the bright blue link
underneath this issue.
LuckyDuck's on a roll . . .
Exceptional builder #3 signs on!
We were delighted when Richard Lind of Everts-Lind
Enterprises Ltd. chose LuckyDuck to tell his story
with a website.
This licensed Housing Professional has dedicated
his efforts to improving the trade as an instructor,
consultant, researcher, author and multi award
winner. There's no doubt that hiring Richard Lind is
hiring the leading edge of house building technology.

Lucky's photo corner: tweaking an image
When I received this photo by e-mail,
I thought it
was way too good to leave it as it was.
I set to doing away
with the distracting background, then added some
light. I'm happy with the results - and so are the
models!
We offer this type of service to our clients as
well. It can take a lot of time, but I feel it's
worth whatever time it takes to bring out the
occassion - whether it be an intergenerational hug
or a trip around the world!
The laHave II: trusty river ferry
The September edition of our website photo collection
pays tribute to the LaHave River ferry - it was a real
fun shoot - a super ending to a rather frustrating
day!
This
month's additions to Lucky's growing links make note of:
- the Halifax International Air Show
- experience Drum! four cultures, four rhythms,
one heart
- Canadian Deep Roots (music) Festival in
Wolfville
- Nova Scotia's Musique Royale

Sheila Lewis Watercolours - back in the news!
A Nova Scotia Year
The Lunenburg Art Gallery is pleased to exhibit the
watercolour artwork of Sheila Lewis from August 29th
- October 1.
This 30-piece collection titled "A Nova Scotia Year"
takes the viewer across the province from
shoreline to mountains, from the promise of early
spring right through to winter's icy grip.
Thirteen of the paintings were chosen for Sheila's
first calendar.
"A Nova Scotia Year, 2007" is also
available at the art gallery, her studio and several
outlets. Please check her website for
details.
The opening reception - a full & enthusiastic
house(!) - was held at the gallery on
August 29. Lynn Perry, executive director of the
South Shore Tourism Association was the guest speaker.
Spread the word - Please!
If you look just
below this e-newsletter, you'll
see, on the left hand side,
a small blue invitation to forward email.
We'd
really appreciate it if you took up the invite!
We won't save your recipients' e-addresses or
anything else about them - and that's a promise!
Lucky Mystery: who's nabbed those photos?
We've had a couple of reports of e-newsletters
being delivered without their photos . . . hmmmm . .
. ?!
In an effort to crack this puzzle we're asking
subscribers to Please let us know if your Lucky
e-newsletters are "travelling light" as well!
