Thanks to Sak's Fifth Avenue and their 2011 Key to the Cure Event! Save the date - this year's Swim A Mile for Women with Cancer will be held on October 6 and 7, 2012.
The 2011 Swim raised $380,854 in support of the services provided by WCRC. This compares to about $40,000 in the first Swim A Mile and $290,000 in 2010. Outstanding!
The new Lifesaver Program, which provides support and mentorship to swimmers, was a big reason this year's swim was so successful. If you are interested in being a Lifesaver this year, please read the job description and fill out the application.
One important question for Masters swimmers -- we are considering holding open at least one slot a day solely for you, at the very beginning and/or the very end of the day. If you are interested, send an email to swim@wcrc.org. Thanks! |
