'Tis The Seasonings at the Museum of Culpeper History

Enjoy a festive afternoon at the Museum of Culpeper History! For one ticket price, guests will be treated to an afternoon filled with hands-on activities, including making a large French bow, making ornaments, and making your own recipe booklets. There will also be hourly demonstrations on "How to Decorate on a Shilling", and then an hourly raffle of the items made during each demonstration. Father Christmas will be here to regale you with Christmas traditions, and his elves will hand out candy canes. There will be live music to soothe your weary soul, and a Colonial High Tea with an assortment of hot mulled wines, hot cider and cool punches, and a wine tasting as well. The Burgandine House will be set as a period tavern, with re-enactors demonstrating an assortment of Colonial activities. Sample the savory stew and hot breads and chat with the tavern wench!
Enjoy 20% off in the Museum Shop, give-aways, unique gift ideas, and foods from 20 local bakers and featured restaurants, including Foti's, Raven's Nest, Knakal's, Thai Culpeper, Sophie's, Chiusano Italian Table, and a few surprises too!
Advanced tickets are $12 for Museum members; $15 for general public; $10 for students 6-18; and FREE for children 0-6, with parents. Day of event tickets will be $3 more per ticket. Tickets are available at Reflections Hallmark, Raven's Nest Coffee House, and the Museum. Credit cards can be used only at the Museum ticket center. Christmas with the Blue Ridge Chorale

Celebrate the joys of the season with the Blue Ridge Chorale Christmas concert at St. Luke's Lutheran Church, 1200 Old Rixeyville Road, Culpeper! The program includes "Magnificat" by John Rutter plus other memorable selections: Break Forth, O Beauteous Heavenly Light (J.S. Bach) Fa Una Canzone (Vecchi - 16th Century Italy), Psallite Unigenito (Praetorius - 16th Century Germany), Riu, Riu, Chiu (anonymous -16th Century Spain), Sing We Now of Christmas (Traditional French Carol - arr. Hatch) Mary's Little Boy Child (Jester Hairston), Christmas Comes Again...In About Three Minutes* (Arr. Mark Weston), The Christmas Song (Mel Torme), and Go, Tell it on the Mountain (John Rutter).
