DNS Server NS2 Relocates to New Data Center - IP Address Changes

DNS Hosting customers: To improve reliability and network coverage, we have initiated a move of our NS2 server from a data center in Florida to a new data center in Texas. DNS Hosting

For 99.9% of all customers, this move will be transparent and No Action is required on your part.

DNS is normally setup to point to name server hostnames (in this case, ns2.lanechange.net) and since we control the IP of that hostname, name servers listed with your domain name will just follow this change.

For those of you that are making use of the IP address for monitoring, firewall or other purposes, please take note of the IP changes: Old: 216.110.190.194 New: 67.23.33.111. The old DNS server will be shut down on Thursday, April 30, 2009.

In case you've lost count, our name server network is now 5 strong on 3 continents:
  1. ns1.lanechange.net - Seattle (USA)
  2. ns2.lanechange.net - Dallas (USA)
  3. ns3.lanechange.net - London (UK)
  4. ns4.lanechange.net - Phoenix (USA)
  5. e.ns.lanechange.info - Kuala Lumpur (Malaysia)
We are constantly monitoring our network and deploying resources as required.
