This lunar eclipse caps off a series of solar and lunar eclipses this year that have provided opportunities for deep transformation. Lunar eclipses in general references our deeper subconscious and unconscious patterns, as well as our emotions. With the moon in the Wind sign of Gemini during this eclipse, you will have the opportunity to consciously examine the subconscious and unconscious emotional patterns and beliefs that may be creating limitations for you in your life. This is a tremendous opportunity to see which patterns that you thought you had dealt with may still be buried deep in the psyche and causing you to act in ways that do not align with your conscious paradigm. Remember that only 5-9 bits of information is processed consciously, with 28 billion bits of information being processed subconsciously. This means that most of your daily experience is not consciously processed. This lunar event allows us to see the subconscious patterns that regulate that conscious processing and to shift them.

There are many stones that can assist us in this process of conscious examination of subconscious patterns. Below are some suggestions to focus your awareness during this transformative time:

Earth Stones: If you find that your Earth aspects (Home, family, foundations, physical body, finances) are not aligned with your conscious beliefs, the following stones can assist:

• Rainbow Obsidian: particularly helpful in bringing to light the root of old emotional trauma from this or other lifetimes that may be driving undesirable behaviors. In fact, any of the black obsidians are useful during this time to assist in releasing past issues affecting the present. 
• Diopside: Assists with birth trauma or resistance to being in a physical body. Also assists with alleviating stress and issues of worthiness.
• Ruby: Another ally that can assist us in integrating Spirit into physical form, Ruby teaches us to embrace the material world as an expression of the Divine manifesting itself. Can assist with weight issues and financial issues as well.  

Fire Stones: Fire governs the flow of energy through the physical body and our ability to take action to make that energy manifest into form. Fire governs career, sexuality, ability to take decisive action, overcoming fear and the use of our will. Fire governs all aspects of karmic power use and misuse.

• Carnelian: Assists in ending procrastination and hesitation when action is called for but Fear or indecision is paralyzing.
• Sunstone: This valuable ally can assist us in uncovering subconscious beliefs and emotional trauma that prevent us from assuming our personal power and responsibility for our experiences.
• Rhodochrosite: One of the most powerful stone for healing childhood emotional trauma and for balancing the Fire/Water polarity that governs our emotions/empowerment aspects. 

Water Stones: Water is the element that governs our emotions and so it is often involved in relationship issues of all types. Water also governs communication and the ability to speak from the heart.

• Larimar: One of the most powerful Water element stones for balancing the Fire/Water polarity and assisting one in setting clear boundaries and dealing with energy leaks and the tendency to overextend oneself in service to others.  
• Watermelon or pink/green bicolor Tourmaline: This ally assists in releasing ego motivations and being centered in the heart. It can assist with stress related to repetative thoughts and is an excellent stone in helping to release attachment and desperation around outcomes.
• Kunzite: Assists in receiving from the Divine and allowing ourselves the experience of Joy and happiness.   

Wind Stones: Wind governs our thought processes, beliefs and mental habits, as well as our ability to perceive spiritual guidance. 

• Moonstone: of course! During this lunar eclipse, moonstone can assist in consciously unearthing those belief systems that are limiting, outdated, or ego-based. It is also an excellent ally for finding the thought-roots of our chronic emotional patterns.  
• Azurite: if you tend to trust the information and insight of others instead of your own guidance, Azurite can help you to gain more confidence and reliance on your own intuitive knowledge. 
•  Lapis Lazuli: When dealing with karmic influences and bleeds from alternate lives affecting your current experience, Lapis is definitely the ally to turn to. Afghan Lapis is best (dark blue with pyrite gold flecks), but Peruvian Lapis can also be beneficial. 

Storm Stones: The Storm element is a combination of all previous elements and so tends to be stronger and more chaotic than the others. It will have an effect in all levels of your life, but may tend to bring up everything at once, so use it judiciously. 

• Astrophyllite: Helps to uncover the most buried of emotional and energetic trauma and to assist in its integration and clearing. This ally is particularly helpful when forgiveness, self forgiveness, and release of resentment, anger or victim patterns are required.  
• Nuumite: Nuumite is another deeply healing Storm element stone that helps one to recognize where there are patterns of buried resentment, fear of others, and victim/abuser polarity patterns.
• Clear Quartz: For general clarity and amplification, Clear Quartz is an ally that is unequaled. It can help you in gaining clarity about whichever patterns are most necessary for you to clear at this time.    

The energy of the lunar eclipse will be present for several days, but will be most potent in the 24 hours surrounding the actual event. I would suggest sitting in meditation with your stone of choice during this time and drawing the energy into your heart as you open yourself to receive awareness of what needs to be brought to light and healed. Radiate the energy of the stone from your heart throughout your energy field (your heart is the largest electromagnetic oscillator in your body). Breathe that energy into every cell, and have a notebook handy to record the impressions that arise.
