2011 Where To Guide and Map & Guide -
We have begun distribution of our 2011 publications. We have increased the size of this year's Where to Guide and increased the page count in order to make more space available to highlight our members and the assets of the region. We have scheduled our Direct to household drop of our Map & Guide to 100,000 households for May 20th in the Boston Market through the Boston Globe.
National Ad campaign:
Our 2011 National Ad Campaign is underway. We are currently advertising in Better Homes & Gardens, Family Circle, Ladies Home Journal, Traditional Home, More, Horizon Travel Magazine and Yahoo.com, mail console only - behavior targeted in the New York DMO. In addition we are running a vacation lead generator campaign with Madden Media. This program includes 3 Email blasts to 45,000 demo targeted travel enthusiasts who have signed up with Vacationfun.com This program includes a sweepstakes prize offer to generate interested inquires, an I-Brochure on-line fulfillment piece and follow up e-blasts.
Our Comcast Spotlight Program
TV spots have begun running in the Boston Market with an additional on line - advertising component.

HOT DEALS - JUNE
The next HOT DEALS newsletter is being prepared now. To qualify for the amount of exposure that the Hot Deals newsletter gets, offers must reflect a 30% or greater discount off the normal rate and must be available during the month of June.  Tilton, NH - The Lakes Region Tourism Association of New Hampshire is pleased to announce the winners of the Ron Meade "On the Track to Tourism" Hospitality Scholarship that was awarded at the 35th Annual Governor's Conference on Tourism held on May 5th. This is one of two scholarships the association awards during the year - the other, the Mildred A. Beach Scholarship, is awarded at LRTA's Annual Business Meeting. Read More...
SuperFam Tour visited Lakes Region May 7, 2011
Discover New England put together a SuperFam Tour for big tour operators in the UK. Leading European tour operators came to New England and split into two groups where half go to Maine, New Hampshire and Vermont and the other half went to the southern New England States. At the tour's conclusions, the two groups met in Boston to present their experiences to each other. The following operators were in our group:

The group toured the region on Saturday, May 7th. They made stops in Wolfeboro, visiting Castle in the Clouds, Meredith, the Inns at Mill Falls, and took a cruise on Squam Lake with Experience Squam Private Boat Excursions before heading off to Vermont. A special thanks to those members who hosted this group.
