Canadian Sales Mission and Toronto Golf Show
Deadline Monday, February 8, 2010
The NH Division of Travel and Tourism Development (DTTD) is organizing a sales mission to Ontario to meet directly with tour operators, travel agents, and members of the media and will schedule this mission in conjunction with a very popular consumer show: the 21st Annual Toronto Golf and Travel Show. This event will take place from March 3 - 7, 2010. There are several ways to participate:
- Register to attend for $1,250.00 + travel expenses
- Brochure distribution at the golf show and mission for $150.00 + shipping costs to Canada
- Submit golf and stay package information for a flyer that will be distributed at the golf show for FREE!  
Note:  Space is very limited and will be awarded on a first-come, first-serve basis.  

Discover New England Summit Early Bird Registration
Deadline Sunday, January 31, 2010
Discover New England's (DNE) 15th Annual Tourism Summit and International Marketplace will take place April 19-21 in Newport, Rhode Island. This is a successful event where you can meet directly with leading international tour operators who specifically want to build New England tour programs. Early bird exhibitor registration costs $795 (includes exhibitor table and one person registration) or $450 per person. After January 31, the costs rise to $550 per person and $895 to exhibit.

Host Sites Needed for Plymouth State Practicum and Internships 
As a requirement of Plymouth State University's Tourism Management and Policy undergraduate degree program, students are responsible for engaging in a one credit Practicum. This will necessitate visiting four tourism/hospitality related agencies, organizations or businesses.  More..

SBA Lending in NH Increases Sharply in first quarter of fiscal 2010
Recently released SBA statistics for New Hampshire show a 71% increase in the number of SBA loans approved in the first quarter of fiscal year 2010 (10/1/2009 - 12/31/2009) when compared with the same period a year ago. More impressive perhaps is a 93% increase, for the same period, in the total dollar amount made available to fund the needs of small business owners. More..

ARRA 504 FEE RELIEF EXTENSION
On December 23, 2009, SBA announced additional funding is available for 504 loans under the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act. This funding will extend fee relief to both the 504 processing fee and the bank fee. Fee relief is expected to be available through February. There is hope that other funding under the "Jobs Bill" will soon be available to further extend ARRA fee relief to 504 and 7A small business borrowers through September. More..

Governor John Lynch has announced a new plan, New Hampshire Working, that will train workers and help them keep their current job or find new ones. Companies going through a slow period can register with the state and, instead of laying workers off, will reduce hours.
