OPEN HOUSE & RIBBON CUTTING

Join the Lakes Region Association (LRA) on Monday, September 21st from 5-7pm for an Open House and Ribbon Cutting at the NEW Tilton Visitor Information Center.

The Lakes Region Association's relocation to Exit 20 will increase the number of visitors the association will be able to serve who are seeking information on Where to Stay, Play, Shop and Dine as well as the area's available services while visiting the Lakes Region of New Hampshire. Flat Screen Digital Display Panel 
We have installed a flat screen digital display panel which will give members the ability to run high definition ads.  Because this is digital it is something that we can easily switch out allowing you to promote your businesses seasonally or for special events etc.

The next one is scheduled to go out Sept 8th -- the content is taken from our online event calendar. What's New items are posted on our media website, and featured on the home page. Volunteer or have your brochures at the Big E

Lakes Region of New HampshireThe Big E 2009 will take place on Sept 18 through Oct 4. For those of you aren't familiar with the Big E, it is very large 17-day annual event that takes place in West Springfield, MA where the NH Div of Travel & Tourism and the Granite State Ambassadors run an information booth in the New Hampshire Building located on the Avenue of the States. During the fair, the New Hampshire building welcomes over 800,000 visitors who are primarily from our immediate driving market, all of whom walk directly through our booth.

We will be doing our annual Christmas Cabaret at Lake Opechee Inn on December 3rd (luncheon) and December 6th (early dinner). Workshop for Local Historical Societies

On Wednesday, September 23, the New Hampshire Archives Group (NHAG) will sponsor a workshop on Documenting Your Society's Archives and Collections. The workshop will be held from 9:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. at the Joe Dodge Lodge, AMC headquarters, Route 16, in Pinkham Notch, NH. The cost is $20 for NHAG members and $25 for nonmembers, and includes lunch.
