NEW Lakes Region Cooking Show Video

Tilton NH - "A Taste of the Lakes Region", televised for the first time in February on Lakes Region Public Access TV, recently made it's internet debut on YouTube and the Lakes Region Association's website, www.lakesregion.org.

As part of a communications grant, the Lakes Region Association has been actively making a presence on some of the primary Web 2.0 social media sites including YouTube, Facebook, Twitter and Blogspot. Tune into www.youtube.com/user/beacheslakes to learn the secrets of making Cactus Jack's signature dishes including Seafood Gumbo and grilled Andouille Sausage, taught by Chef Nicole Barreira, Special Events Chef for Great New Hampshire Restaurants.

The new cooking program is a collaboration of Lakes Region Association member restaurants, Lakes Region Community College's Hospitality Program and Lakes Region Public Access (LRPA)-TV.  The recently posted video features, LRCC Program Coordinator Patrick Hall with hospitality students Chris Young, Matthew O'Brian and Patrick Ferland at Cactus Jack's Grill and Watering Hole's Laconia location on Union Ave on Paugus Bay of Lake Winnipesaukee.

The second of the Lakes Region Cooking Show series was recently filmed and will feature students, Chris Young and Matthew O'Brien learning a T-Bone's Great American Eatery's favorite, Baked Stuffed Scallops Mornay and Montreal Grilled Salmon. Watch the LRPA schedule for air times!

The 30-minute cooking show will be filmed regularly at different restaurant locations providing a unique learning experience and networking opportunities for hospitality students and providing the community with a taste of the wonderful restaurants and menus in the area.
