The Principal Charity Classic will have one of the best player fields on the Champions tour this year. Many top name players have already committed.
 Bernhard Langer will make his first appearance in Des Moines! Langer joined the Champions Tour in 2007, was the 2009 money leader and has 9 victories to date. He has won 3 times on the PGA Tour including the 1985 and 1993 Masters and is a World Golf Hall of Fame member. For 20 years, Langer was among Europe's best players and is Germany's greatest golfer.
 Peter Jacobsen will return to Des Moines after a two year break due to back and knee injuries. He is a 7-time PGA Tour winner and 2-time Champions Tour winner including the 2004 US Senior Open.
Langer and Jacobsen are joined by Nick Price, Loren Roberts, Jay Haas, Hal Sutton and others already committed.
