Greetings!
 
The countdown is on! Only 28 days left until the Pros tee off at the 2008 Principal Charity Classic. Please continue reading for your current Volunteer News.
 
Volunteers NEEDED!
We are still in need of volunteers for the following committees:
 
Shuttles:
Operate van shuttles around the perimeter of the course picking up and dropping off volunteers. FREE Volunteer package for this committee (includes t-shirt and hat). Contact Megan at megan@principalcharityclassic.com for details.
Marshals/Spotters: Responsible for gallery control on each hole and major traffic areas on-course. Marshals not working with a specific group or hole will be placed on a non spectator hole as a spotter for the pros/amateurs.
Uniforms: Assist with Uniform Distribution before the event and extra uniform sales during event.
Office: Sunday of tournamnet week.
Leaderboards: Sunday of tournament week.
Volunteer Headquarters: Sunday of tournament week.
 
Please spread the word to co-workers, family and friends and have them sign-up to help!
Uniform Distribution
Uniform Distribution will be at Scheels at Jordan Creek Town Center. You should have received an email regarding your scheduled day and time. Please see the Uniform Distribution schedule if you have not received this information.
Volunteer Updates
Committee Assignments
You should have recieved your Committee Assignments by now. 
If you have not received your assignment please contact Megan at 515-279-4653 or megan@principalcharityclassic.com.
 
Work Schedules
As stated above, your Committee Chair/s will be working on your tournament work schedule. Volunteers are asked to work 3-5 shifts over the course of tournament week. Please keep in mind that not all committees work everyday. If you are unable to meet the shift requirements on your assigned committee please let your Committee Chair know and they will help get you reassigned. Also, your availability on the Championship days (Friday, Saturday, and Sunday) are greatly needed and appreciated!
 
NEW - Volunteer Check-In
Each volunteer will be required to check-in at volunteer parking prior to going on-site. After checking in you will be given your meal voucher that is redeemable ONLY at Volunteer Headquarters (they will not be accepted at concession stands). Specific instructions on your committee's procedures regarding meals will be communicated to you closer to the event.

Volunteering, but still want to do more? The Principal Charity Classic and crocs have teamed up to bring you comfy shoes AND a way to raise more money for charity!

Walk with the Pros!

We will be holding a special drawing for volunteers of The Principal Charity Classic. You will have a chance to walk with a Champions Tour Professional Friday as an Honorary Observer!

As an Honorary Observer you will enjoy the experience of a lifetime - walking inside the ropes with Champions Tour players during tournament play.  You will also have your name announced to the gallery, and will have your photo taken with your Champions Tour threesome on the first tee.  The Players will all sign the photo at the end of the first round, providing you with a special keepsake.  Additionally, the daily pin sheet, a Champions Tour info booklet and a Champions Tour hat will be provided to enhance the on-course experience.
