Your World Has Changed.  Are You Building Your County for the Future?

Most of us never saw it coming...

Last year, the Wisconsin legislature proposed and ultimately passed the Budget Repair Bill (BRB), which provided local governments with the ability to redesign and build their futures.  What was once "if only we could" under the old collective bargaining system is "now we can" under the BRB.

On May 23, 2012, Phillips Borowski, S.C., will be hosting another BRB Consortium Meeting.  During this meeting we will provide updates on Act 10 litigation, progress with handbooks, strategies for base wage bargaining as well as compensation system analysis.

This meeting will provide counties with a roadmap to moving forward under the BRB in the future.  Particular emphasis will be on providing counties with a process for determining employee compensation going forward.  This process includes simplifying existing job description and classification systems and designing a compensation system which focuses on internal consistency and private and public sector market comparability.  The interrelationship between total base wage bargaining, wage structures and pay systems will also be addressed.

Please RSVP with your county's attendance and the number and names of people from your county that you anticipate attending to Tanya Hansen at 262.241.7788.  In addition, if you plan to attend via conference call, please let us know so we can ensure we have adequate lines available.
