Bollinger's first 154' Fast Response Cutter, the "Bernard C. Webber", is currently undergoing acceptance and performance trials in the Gulf of Mexico.  Part of her outfit is Naiad's diesel jet 7.9 meter FRC/SCB, a high performance diesel jet RHIB outfitted specifically to meet the USCG's mission requirements.

 

The Naiad is launched and recovered from a ramp assembly designed into the stern of the mother ship.  The aluminum hulled Naiad is equipped with foam core fendering, Cummins diesel engine, Hamilton Water Jet, Shockwave seats for five crew, and a highly sophisticated communications and navigation systems.

 

The Naiad is capable of over 40 knots fully loaded and has a range of over 200 nautical miles at cruise.  Performance weight with full fuel, crew, and outfit is 8400 pounds.  Overall length is 26 feet with a 9 foot maximum beam.

 

The USCG currently has plans for 34 Fast Response Cutters, with an additional 24 to be awarded at a later date.
