Dena Closeup July 2011One of the greatest delights in my life is working side-by-side with people who share a common passion and vision.  Although strengths and weaknesses differ with each individual, once singleness of purpose is embraced by everyone, the differences are celebrated and harmony emerges to form a great team.

At Hogar de Vida in Atenas, Costa Rica, we have four faith missionaries who fill vital roles.  Olga is the mom of house one, Noemy is the mom of house two, Christy is the on-site teacher, and Helen is the administrator.  Each woman is excellent at what she does.  Olga has such a mother's heart and a love the Lord.  Noemy has a very organized home and facilitates order and structure for the older children.  Christy is superb in the classroom and has a heart for the healing of each individual heart.  Helen shines brightly in the office and brings much needed structure and efficiency to the administrative arena.

The vital ministry of these dedicated handmaidens deserves the financial support of those desiring to be good stewards of their God-given resources.  You may rest assured that your love gifts will be well invested in support of this anointed Hogar de Vida ministry team.

In very simple terms, Hogar De Vida would not be here today without our dedicated staff.  Staff leadership is provided by our "faith missionaries," the anchors of the mission.

As faith missionaries, they want to serve, being fully supported by the private donations they have raised.  In so doing, their salaries can be reallocated to additional programs and care for the children.

Noemy 's missionary support for the last three months has been "ZERO."   Her goal is $500 a month.

Christy 's support is low.  Additional support is needed for her to continue in long-term service with our mission.  Her position as teacher is a ministry requirement.

Helen is currently on salary from our home, but deeply desires to become a by-faith missionary to free up mission funding to cover other needs.

Olga 's support is the best among our four gals.  Current need is $100 a month.

Supporting Noemy, Christy, Helen and Olga as faith missionaries is an extension of the expanded Sponsorship Program at the Love and Care giving level.  For $100 per month, you can provide a full sponsorship to one of these dear women.  Or, share a sponsorship with someone, or just give what you can in whatever way you can.

Many ministry partners find it easier to set up automatic credit card or electronic funds transfer payments through Children of Promise (see sidebar) or they set up a similar arrangement through their own electronic banking account.  You can declare your sponsorship commitment and designate one of the faith missionaries on the Children of Promise credit card or EFT forms, the check from your bank, an email to us, or with a note that accompanies your first check.  Children of Promise will make sure your sponsorship gets to the right place.

However God leads you to partner in this ministry, know that you are part of extending the love and healing of Jesus to needy and broken children who are being transformed into the abundant life He wants for all of His children.
