Thankful for your support!
As we approach the end of another year, we're pausing to reflect
on the success we've seen over the past year. Success that's due in part to people
like you who supported our mission.
In the coming year, we're confident of even more success as we strive to promote positive
mental health in Aiken County.
Please consider a year end,
tax-deductible gift in support of our programs.
We continue to form new partnerships at Nurture Home. The women and children who are living in our shelter have been blessed by an outpouring of support from the community. A special thanks to Aiken's First Baptist Church, to Mommy and Me Missions and to Mandy Collins and her mom, Ms.Frances Ussery. You have all given your time to make a difference for the families at Nurture Home!
Thanks to all of the many sponsors, too numerous to list, who have insured each person attending Operation Santa on the 14th will receive a gift! We're grateful to Aiken High's students and teachers who are again working hard to make this day great! A special thanks to Jeff Howell who has volunteered to prepare the turkeys. We're also looking forward to the delicious prepared by the generous staff of Aiken Electric Cooperative. Of course, Santa Claus will arrive right on time! Finally, thanks to all who have contributed financially to assist us in the event.
Thank you to the Aiken Standard for consistently helping us spread the word about what MHA Aiken is doing to promote positive mental health. I acknowledge that the topics we discuss are not always "good news", but your willingness to help us make a positive difference is greatly appreciated! A special thanks to Anna Doliantis who spent hours preparing for the story featuring Keith Asbill, a Survivor of Suicide as he shared candidly how his brother's suicide impacted him and why he is now committed to helping others. Read the full story here.
I'm thankful for our new Welcome Baby volunteers and grateful for the coming achievements I expect to see through Welcome Baby.
We're also acknowledging how fortunate we are to be an agency of the United Way of Aiken County. The diligence, compassion and persistence of the staff and loaned professionals has once again resulted in a successful campaign.
