Nomination Forms For The Raymond Whitbeck Community Service Award Due Friday, May 4th! |
The Baptist Health System Foundation in conjunction with Jaeger & Flynn Associates would like to present the Raymond Whitbeck Community Service Award. This is the first year the award will be presented to a member of the community in honor of Raymond Whitbeck, founding Board Member at Baptist Health System. Raymond Whitbeck set a sterling example for those he led and worked with in the human services field. A quiet and humble man with a great heart for others, Ray's life was marked by community and church-related services in a variety of areas. Now as the current Foundation Board strives to recognize those in the community who give their time and talents in meaningful ways, we remember Ray who set the standard on a daily basis while never seeking recognition. His life's work will continue to inspire us in all our efforts.
This award will recognize a member of the community for exemplary service to others as demonstrated by Ray over the years. As a thank you to the winner of the Raymond Whitbeck Community Service Award, Jaeger & Flynn Associates will donate $1,000 to a charity of the winner's choice. The Baptist Health System Foundation will go one step further and match that donation, for a total of $2,000 to that winner's charity of choice.
For more information on the guidelines and to get your nomination form please visit www.bapthealth.com. Have questions? Contact Michelle Stark, Marketing & Development Associate at (518) 370-4700 ext 193 or starkm@bapthealth.com. |

Dreams Can Come True Continues to Bring Smiles! |
The Baptist Health System Foundation made some dreams come true over the past few months that truly delighted our residents. Take a look!
On Sunday, March 4th, Resident John Haffner went down to Madison Square Garden in New York City to see the Rangers take on the Bruins. John was born and raised in Brooklyn and being able to return to the city was like returning home. As a long time Rangers fan John was fortunate to see the Rangers take a win! John was able to share this wonderful experience with his grandson.
Marjorie Rogers and Arlene Donnelly spent an afternoon being pampered when they took a trip to Medberry Inn & Spa in Ballston Spa for a manicure and pedicure. Marjorie chose a soft champagne color for her nails and Arlene went with a bold red. It's fun to be a girl!
Dreams Can Come True is a monthly program funded through the Foundation to bring quality of life to our Residents. If you'd like to sponsor a Dream's Recipient, please contact Ruth Tietz, Director of Marketing & Development at (518) 370-4700 ext 123. |
