When it comes to cancer treatments, some doctors are more conservative and others more aggressive. One doctor may come up with a distinct treatment option, another may have a very good reason for ruling out that option. The truth is that cancer is an individualistic disease, and there is no one size fits all treatment for cancer. Second Look will focus on confirming a cancer diagnosis and reviewing the most effective options and up to date treatment for that specific cancer.
Second Look will provide access to a team of independent Board Certified oncology specialists in South Florida, many Fellowship trained in a specific oncology area. Specialists include: hematology, medical oncology, radiation oncologist, radiology, oncology surgeons, urologists, gastroenterologist and others who can review a case. The second opinion can take place by either arranging for a consultation with the doctor, or if the person cannot travel, we can arrange for the medical records, and images to be reviewed and have the oncology specialist render his/her opinion in writing.

 Dr. Hans Blom is a Board Certified Orthopedic Surgeon with Fellowship training in adult reconstruction. He received his medical degree from Boston University, Internship at Fitzsimons Army Medical Center and Fellowship at the University of Colorado. His area of interests are degenerative conditions such as arthritis of the hip, knee, bone and joint injuries, joint stiffness, pain and sports related injuries. His techniques include non-surgical treatment of arthritic joints.
