Featured Product - Megger CFL510

Time Domain Reflectometer

CFL510GThe CFL510G is a hand held, compact Time Domain Reflectometer for locating faults on metallic cables. It has a minimum resolution of 0.1 m/0.3 ft and a 5 km/15,000 ft maximum range depending on velocity factor selected and cable type.

Four output impedances (25, 50, 75, and 100 Ω) are available and a velocity factor between 0.2 and 0.99 will meet any cable test requirements.  The CFL510G has a simple selection option which, together with a four-way control switch, offers an intuitive operation for the user.

Fiber Inspection Solutions

AFL delivers a couple of clever products that help you take the guesswork out of fiber inspection and maintenance.

AFL DFS1The DFS1 Digital FiberScope provides magnified video inspection of optical fiber connector end-faces during fiber optic cable and connector installation and maintenance. The hand-held unit illuminates fiber end-faces and delivers magnified images via USB port to AFL's M-series OTDRs (M200, M700) or C-series OTDRs and Certification Testers (C840, C850, C860, C880). FiberScope software displays, labels, and stores captured images as part of connector installation and/or maintenance records.

AFL FOCISIntended for use by network installers, maintenance and node activation personnel, FOCIS enables users to view, capture, store, recall, review and share fiber endface images and document the fact that fiber connections are contamination free. FOCIS solutions are rugged, field-ready and backed by a comprehensive warranty and optional warranty extension programs. FOCIS kits are available for PC/UPC, APC and MPO/MTP fiber connector configurations.

Thank a Teacher

Apple
May 8th is National Teacher's Day.  Each of us has dealt with many teachers throuhgout our lifetime - perhaps some of us have even been teachers.

We all likely have at least one special teacher that has stayed with us into adulthood because they figured out a way to connect with us.  These are the people that have built the foundation from which we have built our careers.

This short article from Liz Dwyer at Good Magazine reminds us to thank a teacher.

Our goal is to provide you with useful information in a timely manner to help you meet your business goals.

As always, your feedback is encouraged and appreciated.

Sincerely,

TriNet Communications
