Greetings!
Great news on the solar incentive front! After an intense lobbying campaign led by the Colorado Solar Energy Industry Association, TAC and concerned Coloradoans, Xcel Energy has backed off their plan to eliminate their solar incentive program.
In response to our collective efforts Xcel has reinstated a modified program, allowing TAC to proceed with all three of the solar electric projects that are at the construction stage. While the upfront costs to TAC are now significantly higher than in the previous program, this new iteration leads to greater long term financial rewards for our non-profit partners: the Denver Rescue Mission, Denver Urban Ministries and Dove Valley with the Milliken Housing Authority. As these projects begin construction we will continue developing new projects with other non-profit partners, and are always seeking new sources of capital.
Please get in touch if you can help empower more communities with solar energy!
Sincerely, Alex Blackmer, Executive Director
