Quarterly City Manager Meeting Announcement

Letter from Business Development Committee Chair

Dear Galveston Chamber of Commerce Members:

Our first 2011 Quarterly City Manager meeting will be held on Thursday, March 17th at 10:00 a.m. in room 204 at City Hall.  We are looking for input from our members regarding issues, concerns or compliments for City Staff.  I have assured Steve LeBlanc that I will provide him a list no later than March 10th so that he can be prepared to address issues.  PLEASE take some time to respond with issues particular to your business.  It is helpful to be specific when bringing up concerns:  "Please fix the pothole at 25th and Church" is more useful than "bring more tourists to the island."  This is your opportunity to leverage your Chamber Membership to make sure your concerns are heard by the City Leadership as well as tracked and followed-up by your Chamber Leadership.  Compliments are welcome, they reinforce that we notice when efforts are made to accommodate our concerns.

Best regards,

Craig Marston
Vice President & General Manager

Your Gift Is Waiting

Our way of saying thanks...

The Galveston Chamber of Commerce would like to extend a gift to all members who renew their 2011 Galveston Chamber membership.  This gift is part of a new program called the Gift Card Program.  This program consists of a compilation of gift cards, contributed by our members, that is extended to members at their ribbon cutting ceremonies to welcome them to our organization.

To kick off this new program, each member who renews their 2011 Galveston Chamber membership will be eligible to receive this gift.*  Upon paying your dues, your gift will be available for pick-up at any of the Galveston Chamber After-5 Business Mixers.  A representative of your business must attend an After-5 Business Mixer to receive the gift.

The gift is currently valued at more than $1,000!  All you have to do to get yours is:

  1. Renew your 2011 Galveston Chamber membership
  2. Attend an After-5 Business Mixer (after you have renewed) to pick up your gift valued at more than $1,000

If you would like to contribute a gift card to this program or if you have further questions, please contact Erin Kay, ekay@galvestonchamber.com or (409) 763-5326.
