LIVE EVENT TIPS
TIP:  Scripts for events can range from simple outlines to comprehensive multi-column breakouts of every aspect.  If you are not working with a professional writer (such as AXE Production's Michael Kryton), then bear this in mind.  Be sure to identify separately (at the very least) the following: speeches, video elements, and audio elements.  You can color code each of these so that the production personnel on the show can easily follow what is happening. It is also a good idea to indicate the length of any video or audio clips.  Be sure to have a printed copy of the script for the head video technician, head audio technician, and the onsite production manager.  Lastly, meet with production personnel before the show to review the script.

WILLIAM SHATNER & AXE

@ SHAW CONFERENCE

Shatner 1

William Shatner packed the Shaw Conference Centre October 23rd and AXE Productions pulled out all the stops.  The show is part of a 6-city tour produced by Trixstar Productions.  AXE heads up video production and show direction for the tour.  The 3 hour tour-de-force included tales from his career and life, a performance ending in a standing ovation from loyal Shatner fans.

AXE PRODUCTIONS HOWLS

@ THE HOWLER

Howler 2

AXE Productions plugged into the Bear's 19th Halloween Howler at the sold out event at Shaw Conference Centre.  Once again, Trixstar Productions headed up production, teaming up with AXE to deliver a howling success. This year, The Bear brought FINGER ELEVEN with Jonas and the massive attraction and Hinder to the Shaw Conference Centre.

AAYAA & AXE @ WINSPEAR

AAYAA 2
This year's Alberta Aboriginal Youth Achievement Awards returned to the Winspear.  The highlight of the night was a coordinated music and dance performance featuring both traditional performers and Metis musicians and dancers, the first time such a performance has been staged.  On the technical side, AXE's deployment of the KIMOVISION wide screen created stunning visual support to the 4 seasons portrayed over the course of the evening.

AXE @ 1ST HARVEST CELEBRATION GALA IN SUPPORT OF
LOIS HOLE HOSPITAL FOR WOMEN
Harvest Celebration
The first Harvest Celebration gala in support of the Lois Hole Hospital for Women was held on September 24, 2011 at the Enjoy Centre in St. Albert. The Harvest Celebration showcased locally-produced, artisanal ingredients creatively prepared by Culinary Team Canada, expertly selected wine pairings, tastings from local breweries and chocolatiers, and showstopping local performers including John Cameron. 100% of table sales at this inaugural fundraising event support the Lois Hole Hospital for Women.
