NICK GUITON VETERAN AXE TECHNICIAN
Nick Guiton has been working in the music industry since the early nineties, when he formed his first band at the age of fifteen. From 1995 through 1997 he studied performance and production at Selkirk College in Nelson, BC. It was during this period that he made his first foray into live production. After spending several years playing semi-professionally on Vancouver Island, Nick moved to Edmonton in early 2000 and began working as a technician for Much Music Video Dance, and freelancing on the side for Excel Concert Systems, which was later acquired by Axe Productions. After a two year hiatus while he worked in Alberta's booming oil patch, he joined the Axe team in May of 2007. His duties include lighting, follow spot, camera, small audio and video gigs, as well as general stagehand's responsibilities.

LIVE EVENT TIPS
TIP: Live performers usually have a "rider", a specifications list that outlines what they want in the way of services and equipment. Let your production company do the review of the rider first. They may want to speak with the performer to discuss some options. Performers realize that not everything on the list may be available. But a production company, like AXE Productions, has an incredible reputation for fulfilling a rider that either meets or exceeds the performer's expectations.
