2012 Brookwood Art Show pdf
The Brookwood Cluster Art Show is Thursday, May 10 from 6-8:30 pm at Brookwood High School. Artwork from students in 3rd-12th grade in the Brookwood cluster will be on display. Brookwood Elementary has 60 students who will have their amazing artwork in the show. You are all invited to come out and see this terrific show. Students in 3rd, 4th, and 5th grades can earn an E for viewing the show as well. Please congratulate these students for this awesome achievement and please make plans to attend Thursday night! |
County Witzzle Pro Tournament | |
The Witzzle Pro Club had it's final meeting for this year. It was the last practice session for 5th grader, Amanda Cover and 4th grader, Megan Huang. They will be representing Brookwood Elementary at the Gwinnett County Witzzle Pro Tournament on Saturday. It will be hosted by Stripling Elementary School from 9 - 11. For the first time, the scores of both school representatives will be combined. The school with the greatest score will win the trophy. That means Amanda and Megan will be working as a team even though they are playing in different grade levels. Good luck, Amanda and Megan!!! |

All library books are due to the media center on May 16th. Please start looking for overdue books early. If you have lost a book you can write a check to Brookwood Elementary for $15.00.
Save the Date! Beach Blanket BINGO is coming to Brookwood Elementary. Come with your friends to play BINGO and win books for your summer reading! BINGO starts at 7:45 A.M. in the media center. Bring your beach towel if you choose. May 18: grades 4-5, May 21: grades 2-3, and May 22: grades K-1. |

Brookwood Elementary will be having Animal Awareness for the week of May 14th for the Gwinnett County Animal Shelter located in Lawrenceville. During the week please bring in any old towels, old blankets, dog and cat toys, dog and cat treats, dog and cat food. The shelter is always in need of these items and will greatly appreciate anything we can donate. Boxes will be set up that week along the main wall of the school entrance to put donations in. If any family is thinking of adding a pet, please remember the Gwinnett County animal shelter. There are always dogs and cats who so desperately need a loving home. Thank you on behalf of our four legged friends. |
