There are just a few days left until our Boosterthon Fun Run! Pledges and/or donations may be logged in at funrun.com or by turning in your pledge map to the Boosterthon Team when they visit your classroom.
Our Boosterthon Team continues to visit classrooms taking our students on an EPIC Adventure. We hope to see you at the Fun Run on Thursday, March 22. Fun Run times are listed below. See you there!!
Fun Run Times for Thursday, March 22:
11:00-12:15 - K, 2nd, Boring & Walser
12:30-1:45 - 1st, 3rd, & Brex
2:00-3:15 - 4th, 5th, Warnock & Gossett
***The weather is expected to be sunny and warm on Thursday. The Fun Run will be held outside. Please be sure and dress your children for the weather - and remember they will be running! Thanks!

The March 27th, District IV Area Board meeting will be at South Gwinnett High School, hosted by Dr. Robert McClure, the District IV Board member. Refreshments will be served at 6:30 pm with the meeting at 7:00 pm. Please see the flyer attached.

State Champs! |
Xavier Bentley (2nd gr) and David Key (5th gr) competed in the Georgia State Little Kids Wrestling Tournament this past Saturday, March 10th.
Xavier Bentley took 1st in the 8 and Under - 51 pound bracket, making him a 2X state champion!
David Key took 1st in the 10 and Under - 100 pound bracket.

The Tapestry Art Show will be held at the ISC building in Suwanee on Tuesday, March 20 - through March 25. This is a special art show for Gwinnett County students in K-12th grade. Everyone is invited to come out and see the amazing artwork this year. It is a honor to have your work picked to be in the show. Congratulations Brookwood Elementary Artists! You can order the 2011-2012 yearbook on the Brookwood Elementary website. Go to the Announcementspage and order your yearbook for $25.

Education City |
 This is an online software program (www.educationcity.com) that targets Georgia learning standards in the areas of Math, Language Arts, and Science. Students work on creative activities that teach them needed academic strands at the same time. The children love this software! Home licenses usually cost around $75 for a year but through Brookwood Elementary you can purchase a home license for $10 for one child plus $5 for each additional child in the same family.
