Bonjour Friends and Members,
I want to give you a quick mid-summer update on the FACCMN. I had very informative and productive meetings in France with the Union des Chambres de Commerce et d'Industrie Françaises à L'Étranger (UCCIFE) and came away with a better understanding of how the French Chambers of Commerce around the world operate. I made important contacts while there and raised the visibility of the FACCMN both among the key leaders at UCCIFE but also with the American chapters who were in attendance. Now back in Minnesota, I have spent the last several weeks connecting with the French community here and forming ties with business and community leaders who will help the Chamber provide services to its members going forward.
Our plan is to take a step back during these summer months and reboot and restart the Chamber anew in September. To that end, the Rendez Vous du Jeudi, planned for August 2nd, will be postponed until Thursday September 6. More details to follow.
I am looking forward to a fresh new start in September.
Bien à vous,
Laura Merriam
