Chairman's Message

Friends and Colleagues of the Admiral Carey Foundation:

You have now received previous issues of the Foundation's newsletters highlighting Women of Achievement, Men of Accomplishment, Distinguished International Scholars, Military Veterans, Eagle Scouts, and our most recent, Alliances & Partnerships, which has given you an overview of the broad range of organizations, agencies and associations that we work with to carry out our mission of "Giving Back to America." But upon review, there is still one segment missing, and that is the many outstanding individual men and women that give their time, commitment, and money in support of the Foundation's numerous programs and projects. Without these individuals and their support, hard work, and dedication, none of these programs would or could happen.

So the purpose of this newsletter is to bring attention to and recognize those individuals who are helping make happen all that we do. And there are literally hundreds of them, so we can only recognize a few in this, the 1st Edition of our Patriots & Partners newsletter. It is my plan to recognize the others in subsequent editions of this quarterly newsletter until all have been given credit for the role they play in helping the Admiral Carey Foundation to achieve its mission of making ours a better county, and our society more productive and mutually supportive of our nation. Very special thanks to all who have helped to make this possible. Without you there is no Admiral Carey Foundation.

With all good wishes,

Rear Admiral [Ret.] James J. Carey, Chairman
The Admiral Carey Foundtaion, Inc.

A Note from the Editor

I am incredibly excited to be selected as the Editor for Admiral Carey's new Patriots & Partners newsletter because I believe in what his Foundation and all of his programs are trying to accomplish. None of which could happen without the generosity and support from those who will be honored in these forthcoming publications. It takes a lot of time, effort, and money to make something as influential as Admiral Carey's Foundation flourish and we would be remiss if we did not give accolades to those who deserve it. Please join me in expressing our sincerest gratitude to all of those who give of themselves to this program so that others may benefit from it. We would not be nearly as successful without them and without you.

Sincerely,
Julie Drinkard
