This forum will include an overview of what seniors are looking for from their retirement years from Jack Hansen, co-author of the book "Shaping A Life of Significance For Retirement." There will also be a panel discussion on Life After Full-Time Work - Staying Active, Engaged and Involved as well as an overview of future trends in health care and senior living.

FALL REGISTRATION UNDERWAY FOR FURMAN'S POSTGRADUATE DIPLOMA
IN CORPORATE SUSTAINABILITY
|
Applications are now being accepted for the Fall 2012 Postgraduate Diploma in Corporate Sustainability which is being offered through Furman University's Center for Corporate and Professional Development and in cooperation with the David E. Shi Center for Sustainability. The program is an intensive executive education that addresses the applicability of sustainability principles and practices to business and is ideal for senior administration and sustainability practitioners. Participants will undertake a 'capstone' organizational project as they incorporate methods to ensure sustainability becomes an ongoing strategic business process.
Corporate sustainability is being readily embraced because it makes business sense. The 'triple bottom line' impact of decreasing costs, increasing revenues, and enhancing corporate social responsibility are attractive to the corporate board of directors and shareholders.
'Going green' cuts costs, innovates products and business process, grows market shares and strengthens brands. Many companies are clearly illustrating that going green is no longer a 'nice to do' program in good times, but a key ingredient to succeeding in the new, reset economy. Every aspect of an organization can identify a business reason for becoming more sustainable. Green marketing, green accounting, reducing energy and water consumption, carbon foot-printing, and life-cycle analysis, are fast becoming the language of those who are responsible for implementing sustainable business practices.
Postgraduate Diploma in Corporate Sustainability: Fall 2012 Class Schedule
Module 1: September 6th & 7th
Module 2: September 27th & 28th
Module 3: October 18th & 19th
Module 4: November 15th & 16th

Graduation: December 7th
*Tuition: $3995 (a limited amount of partial scholarships are available)

TEN AT THE TOP THANKS FUNDING PARTNERS FOR THEIR CONTINUED SUPPORT
| |

Over the last two years, more than 80 organizations and individuals from across the Upstate have helped support the mission of Ten at the Top to promote collaboration and planning in the Upstate by donating funds or services as either a continuing funding partner (commitment of at least three years), annual funding partner or event sponsor.
Each month we will be highlighting some of these organizations that recognize the value of regional collaboration, planning and partnerships across the 10-county Upstate region as we work together to ensure that the Upstate remains a great place to live, learn, do business and raise a family for generations to come.
