Look for signs directing you to the holiday light recycling area just inside the gate. Bring strands of incandescent or LED holiday lights in any condition.The lights will be collected by Elgin Recycling, stripped, and recycled for their copper and plastic parts.

Christmas Tree Recycling  Begins in January
Christmas trees will be collected for curbside recycling the first two full weeks in January 2012 (Jan. 3-13, 2012; no pickup Jan. 2 due to the holiday) without a sticker. Remove all decorations and place your tree at the curb on your regular garbage pickup day. Please do not place your tree in a bag.

IL 56 Widening Project Update
Danada Area Is Ready for Shopping! 
The construction is buttoned up for the winter.

It's MUCH easier to get to your favorite stores in Danada Squares East & West!

 

Noise walls will be installed over the winter.

 

The North side of the road will be reconstructed in Spring 2012 with construction resuming in late March or Early April based on weather conditions. This phase should go more quickly because the utilities will not be an issue.

 

Landscaping will be done in Fall 2012.
