Rock the Cause attended the National Association for Campus Activities Northern Plains conference March 31-April 2 in Saint Paul and made great connections with hundreds of regional college student activities planners!

We had a great time inspiring students to use their student activity dollars to spark change in their communities!

We have a lot of follow up to do. We have been asked to bring Rock the Cause Campus to several colleges in the upper midwest including two dates at University of Wisconsin River Falls!

Stay tuned for more!

Cities 97

Rock The Cause is pleased to announce that Cities 97 chose Rock the Cause as a beneficiary of the Cities 97 Sampler 22!  We were chosen along with 38 other non-profit organizations from a group of more than 440 submissions to receive grants from the proceeds of the sampler.

Listeners who purchased the sampler generated $750,000 in proceeds, of which Rock the Cause will receive a portion!  We would like to thank Cities 97, the sponsors of Sampler 22, and the listeners who helped make the grant possible!

Thank you Cities 97 Listeners!

"A Night in Andy Warhol's Factory  - A Generation Makes an Impact"

We could have easily held a costume contest for the crowd that attended this year's Glitterball.  Edies and Andys and Bob Dylans of every version graced the factory-inspired event, which made for a fantastically colorful evening.  The fourth and biggest event yet, Glitterball raised over $7200 for Youth Performance Company and  community programs. While also signing up volunteers for the upcoming MN AIDS Walk.

The event kicked off with guests taking a tour of the artwork installed around the venue, including live video portraitures that were portrayed on a large screen behind the bar.  Guests enjoyed set lists from Pictures of Then, Alicia Wiley, The Arms Akimbo, Joey Ryan & the Inks, and Not Like This, performing some of their original songs alongside covers of some of the best music from the era, including The Velvet Underground, The Kinks, The Doors and more.  Youth Performance Company members also took over the stage to remind us of the importance of music and art in a community.

We are so thankful for all RTC has done for us with Glitterball4 and choosing us as the beneficiary of that event this year.  You guys have been so amazing to work with and we've never had, in all of our 22 years,  the exposure that RTC has given us so THANK YOU!  We hope to have made fans and friends for a long time through RTC! - Kris Nugent YPC Board President

With all the music and multi-media art, the audience themselves deserved the biggest round of applause for their enthusiasm and ability to make an event come alive.  Check out local media for great photos of guests, artists and staff who attended Glitterball 4.

Rock the Cause & Saint Croix Vineyards Present
Rock the Vine 2
June 4, 2011, Stillwater, MN

Rock The Vine

Did you leave your heart in San Francisco?  Do you wish you could hop a plane and spend a weekend in Napa Valley? We do, too!

Rock the Cause, Youth Advantage, and Saint Croix Vineyards are proud to host the second annual Rock the Vine Music Festival at Saint Croix Vineyards on Saturday, June 4, from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m. Top local and regional artists will come together for an afternoon of music, food, wine tastings and more--all while benefiting a great cause.

Set within the heart of the St. Croix River Valley, wine and music lovers will be treated to wine, blues and soul in the picturesque surroundings of this lush Minnesota vineyard. Rock the Cause will celebrate the legacy of American soul and rhythm 'n' blues featuring Roster McCabe, Cadillac Kolstad, Devine Collection The Fattenin Frogs and more TBA!

Saint Croix Vineyards has generously agreed to donate 50% of all wine sales the day of the event, and the proceeds will benefit Youth Advantage.  Youth Advantage's mission is to ensure that under-privileged children have access to musical instruments, sports equipment, and after school art and sports programs.  We want to ensure that every dollar raised from Rock the Vine goes to support the important work of Youth Advantage and are in search of sponsors to help cover our event costs.
Please contact rockstar@irockthecause.org if you are interested in sponsoring this great event.

General Admission tickets include generous samplings of wine in the tasting rooms!

Bleeding HeartsRock the Cause would like to say thanks to our friends and community for the support you have given us and our nonprofit partners.

With the help of our musical friends we have created a collection of songs about love, peace, and getting your block knocked off for daring to believe the world can be a more harmonious place to live.
