|Meet Jay Stoker-|
RTC's First Ever C.O.O.
Rock The Cause is growing and has recently restructured its operations to facilitate continued expansion and efficient operation. RTC welcomes Jay Stoker as its first ever Chief Operating Officer. Jay has been involved with Rock The Cause since its inception.
Since that time Jay has been continuously involved in RTC as a volunteer and eventually as a board member. Most recently, Jay has been RTC's Treasurer. Over the years, Jay has done everything for RTC from being a "roadie" at events- helping to load and unload band equipment- to stage management, event planning and coordination, insurance and legal risk analysis, and financial oversight and management.
Jay is a 1981 Gustavus Adolphus College magna cum laude graduate in economics.
In 1987, Jay graduated from William Mitchell College Of Law with honors. Jay practiced law in California and Minnesota for over ten years until he decided to follow his dream and passion for construction, specifically remodeling.
Jay has been remodeling in the Twin Cities for almost 20 years and is the owner of Stoker Construction.
Jay brings a "no nonsense" approach to RTC operations. He believes in keeping it simple and running things just like any other successful business does. Jay intends to further RTC's vision by expanding strategic partnerships in the community and focusing the organization on sustainability.
Jay has always believed in the RTC mission of strengthening community and is very active in our community.
If you see him out-and-about be sure to introduce yourself and welcome him. Jay loves meeting people...and you can never have too many friends!

2010 was an amazing year of growth for
Rock the Cause, thanks to all of you!
Rock the Cause direct support more than DOUBLED over the previous year! We put over 90% of the $50,000 we collected to work creating financial assistance, awareness and new volunteers for over a dozen regional organizations.
We enrolled over 1,000 new supporters who said they wanted to become more involved in their communities! Over 25 bands joined our cause by donating music and performing at our concert events.
We managed nearly 100 volunteers and put over 10,000 volunteer hours to work in our community. We did all of this with a small part time staff and very little budget to work with.
Rock the Cause is growing because of the continued support of the fans, volunteers, artists and community partners.
We know you are down front with us, cell phone lights in the air, RTC t-shirt on and rocking out for the promise of a stronger community!
The 2011 Rock the Cause concert season is our most creative and ambitious to date. So please read on and discover what we have in store for the coming year! More shows are being added through out the year.
As always, thanks for your support!

Heroes: A Benefit for Local Recording Artists
On Christmas Eve, the studio of Eric Lovold (producer and frontman for The Alarmists) was burglarized. In addition to thousands of dollars of recording equipment, among the many items stolen were the recording masters for the upcoming albums of Twin Cities based band Kicks & Spurs and local singer/songwriter Brian DeRemer, both of which were engineered by Lovold.
21+ Show // Friday January 28th // 8:00pm Doors // 8:30 Show
Mr. Lovold and several of his musical friends are joining forces to raise funds to cover the costs of re-recording and releasing the two lost albums. In addition to Kicks and Spurs, Brian DeRemer, and The Alarmists, the benefit will also feature White Light Riot, Chris Koza, a special DJ set by Solid Gold, and will be emceed by Barb Abney of 89.3 The Current. All net proceeds will benefit Eric Lovold, Brian DeRemer, and Kicks and Spurs with the costs associated with releasing and re-recording their lost albums. Instrument Control Studio is not benefitting from this concert event in any form financially.
