Cirque Du Serve at UWRF on September 25 drew roughly 1,000 people! Nearly 200 students signed up to
volunteer with over a dozen regional nonprofit organizations! Rock the Cause
will continue to partner with UWRF to track their progress and participation to see what our combined efforts can create.
A few days later, we were invited to a volunteer drive at
McNally Smith College of Music for an event called
Show Some Love. The Rock the
Cause booth drew over 100 students who signed on to volunteer for Rock the
Cause charitable partners.
"I want to thank Rock the Cause for your awesome energy . You
just rocked it when talking to our students!" Said Sarah Williamson, Intern Coordinator for McNally Smith School of Music.
Why is Rock the Cause Campus so important? Many School Districts and Colleges require
that students complete at least 40 to 50 hours of volunteer services to earn
their diplomas. Volunteering in the community helps young people understand the
importance of community. Volunteering builds diversity awareness, leadership, good
will, job skills, experience and it feels great!
The students at UWRF were so inspired to "Rock the Cause"
they made this special video to show their school and community spirit! Click On Image below!
Rock the Cause will be expanding the Campus Program offerings in 2011. Stay tuned for more campus events soon!
If you like the work Rock the Cause is doing, please consider
making a donation and attending our
Phantasmagoria Halloween event! All proceeds will help Rock the Cause join
NACA (The National Association for College Activities) and expand our College events and programming.
