Rock the Cause Campus enrolls 300 student volunteers!
UWRF Students Rock the Cause

Rock the Cause Campus started the school year off with two amazing volunteer drives at University of Wisconsin River Falls and McNally Smith School of Music.

Cirque Du Serve at UWRF on September 25 drew roughly 1,000 people! Nearly 200 students signed up to volunteer with over a dozen regional nonprofit organizations! Rock the Cause will continue to partner with UWRF to track their progress and participation to see what our combined efforts can create.

A few days later, we were invited to a volunteer drive at McNally Smith College of Music for an event called Show Some Love. The Rock the Cause booth drew over 100 students who signed on to volunteer for Rock the Cause charitable partners.

"I want to thank Rock the Cause for your awesome energy . You just rocked it when talking to our students!" Said Sarah Williamson, Intern Coordinator for McNally Smith School of Music.

Why is Rock the Cause Campus so important?  Many School Districts and Colleges require that students complete at least 40 to 50 hours of volunteer services to earn their diplomas. Volunteering in the community helps young people understand the importance of community. Volunteering builds diversity awareness, leadership, good will, job skills, experience and it feels great!

The students at UWRF were so inspired to "Rock the Cause" they made this special video to show their school and community spirit!  Click On Image below!

Pictures of Then
" When It Stings"

Pictures of Then is a collision of contradictions that teeters between past and present without staking claim in either.  Their hauntingly nostalgic sound is defined by indulging rebellion, escaping from the shackles of familiarity, tasting freedom for the first time, seizing second chances, unleashing repressed anger, and the inevitable yearning to return to the age of innocence.

On the heels of their latest release, And The Wicked Sea, the band has garnered national recognition with extensive touring and heaps of press. Onstage, their energy is electric; their live performance catapults from head banging rock numbers to danceable pop songs to stingingly wistful tunes. Brothers Casey and Joe Call, David LeDuc, and Joe Gamble hold nothing back, rocketing into full-throttle abandon and leaving the audience breathless every time.

"Pictures of Then are like coming across a forgotten, leather bound, family photograph album in the attic. Once opened, it comes to life with faces and lives familiar, yet unknown. You just can not seem to put it down. High art disguised as folk rock, "And The Wicked Sea" is the perfect music, for the strange, and ethereal changes that the autumn air brings."
