The Melismatics: Your Love is a Poison Video...Lady Tron!
|
| The Melismatics are back with a new video single "Your Love Is A Poison" using the same technology as the Disney classic film, "Tron".
Jeff Bridges AKA The Big Lebowski, starred in the movie Tron. We like watching Pony Hixon Smith's defiance of the "Master Controller" far better in this production.
You have to see this ultimately cool video!
The track is produced by John "Strawberry" Fields (Jonas Brothers, Jimmy Eatworld, Miley Cyrus) and the video is directed by Justin Staggs.
The Melismatics are truly one of the most exciting rock and roll bands ever. We love you Ryan, Pony, Mark, and Ron!

A Message From Our CEO
A Rock the Cause Community member left us a post on Facebook
a few days ago. It said "It seems like everyone is rocking the cause and
volunteering these days. I am proud to be a part of it."
When we started Rock the Cause three years ago, we had a
lot of people tell us we were crazy. They told us it would not work or that we could
not sustain it. They even told us the IRS would never go for it... but we are still here and we are growing and
expanding.
Over the past three years, we have put almost $100,000 back to work in our community by creating new volunteers and support for our partner organizations. We have introduced new music to thousands of music fans.
Our Board of Directors and managers are meeting for a
retreat in a few weeks. We will work to ensure that we can continue to expand our mission,
sustainability and accountability.
These days, many people are "Rocking the Cause" with us. We do not take that trust lightly. We are very
proud of the organization we built. We are proud that we have inspired people
to give their time and resources. All of us at Rock the Cause know the work we
are doing is bigger than any of us.
As a 501(c)3 organization, we exist to serve a wide variety of people.
Rock the Cause belongs to you. It belongs to the causes, the fans, the
volunteers, the bands, and the community.
Instead of looking back in nostalgia, we choose to look to the
future. We want to show you what you've accomplished this summer, and what we
will accomplish together this year.
Rock the Cause is no longer just a local thing. We are a
movement. We are the Rock the Cause nation. We are united under the banner of
music, community and hope that creates real impact.
All Fired Up,
Scott Herold CEO and Founder Rock the Cause, Inc. rockstar@irockthecause.org

Rock the Vine Yields No Sour Grapes!
We're proud to announce that our Rock the Vine event was a huge success! The event drew approximately
300 people and grossed $7500. Audience members were treated to delicious Minnesota wines from St Croix Vineyards, as well as performances by Alison Scott, Cadillac
Kolstad & Cornbread Harris, The 4onthefloor, and The Midnight Mo Experience.
After all expenses were met (thank you to our community partners), Rock the Cause donated close to $2500 to Youth Advantage, as
well as a list of 300 people who wanted to learn more about how they can
help.
Suzanne Block, Executive Director
and Founder of Youth Advantage, say's the residual impact has been significant "We
are still getting donations. The marketing and press that Rock the Vine created
was tremendous in getting our name out there. Rock the Cause did an amazing job
creating new awareness and support for Youth Advantage. We look forward to next
year's event!"
Proceeds from the event will help financially challenged families pay for educational enrichment programs likes sports, music and arts activities.
Due to the success of this event, we are planning a Second Annual "Rock the Vine," which will be held June 11, 2010 at Saint Croix
Vineyards in Stillwater, MN Details TBA! |

Rock the Cause "Rocks" Companies Who Rock!
Rock the Cause is proud to be a part of the Minneapolis-Saint Paul Business community. Just because we are tax-exempt does not mean that we are not a corporation. Our business is building communities through the power of music and volunteerism.
We were honored when the Minneapolis Saint Paul Business Journal asked us to be the official nonprofit for the "Companies Who Rock - Best Places To Work" luncheon, which cited companies in the Twin Cities who have created great work environments for their employees. See who is on the list and why they are the best place to work in the Twin Cities.
Thank you Twin Cities business community for all your support and congratulations to all!
