  TopThings Have Been Moving

Around Here!

Reveille has much to celebrate these days, especially the opening of the youth center, welcome center, chapel, and the new choir room. For those who may not have noticed, the children's library has moved into the old choir room location. Many thanks to Beth Fowler, Thomas Goodall, Judy Gupton, Laura Holdych, Melissa Hudson, Kelly Weaver, and Bill Wright who helped make the children's library transition move so quickly and efficiently. It looks beautiful. As you explore and accustom yourself to all of our new space, we invite you to come, see and use the new children's library.

Also, many thanks to Donna Fay Kessel, Glenda Lewis and Annie Wax for helping Director of Music Cathy Armistead move the chancel choir music and robes into the new choir room. They worked very hard, and there was a lot of purging and heavy lifting. In addition, we owe deep gratitude to Thomas Goodall and Bill Wright for their assistance with moving many boxes of music into the new music space. The choir room is now located where the chapel used to be, just next to the church parlor. Please come and visit; you just might be inspired to join a choir!

Summer Choir Begins This Sunday

Summer Choir returns this Sunday, June 10. This intergenera-tional choir has met with great success for four years in a row. Our biggest choir was 30 singers at once, and the average is 15, which is great for summer choir numbers!

Advantages to Summer Choir:

  • Your whole family can sing together
  • No weekly rehearsals
  • No robes
  • Attend the Sundays you are in town

For more information on Summer Choir, please contact Cathy Armistead here  or call 359-6041, ext. 123. Join Summer Choir today!

Reveille Helps Locally and Globally

When our clergy and lay members go to Roanoke for the meeting of the Annual Conference on June 22, they will take Reveille's contribution to the Annual Conference Mission Offering. This offering will support four projects: a shade and fresh water ministry in Brazil, leadership development for our Church's work in Mozambique, church planting in Cambodia, and Shalom Farms here on the Richmond District. Visit the Virginia Conference website here for additional information.

We will continue to receive gifts for this offering through Sunday, June 17. Please be sure to mark your donation "Annual Conference Offering."

Angel Ministry

Pregnancies don't always go as planned. Sometimes they don't even happen at all. You are not alone. Angel ministers, women who have had pregnancy-related problems in their own past, are ready to provide a caring presence for those who are currently struggling with this difficult time in their lives. For more information, please contact Rev. Abby Kocher at 359-6041, ext. 111.
