Confirming Their Commitment
God loves us, regardless of any words we say or actions we take. Still, like every other loving relationship, God's love invites a response, an "I love you, too." This Sunday at the 11:00 a.m. worship service, twenty-one 8th grade students will vow to respond to God's love for them by committing to live out their discipleship here at Reveille. As members alongside the many adults who have made that same vow before them, they pledge to support Reveille by their prayers, their presence, their gifts, their service and their witness. This is their decision - not their parents' or their confirmation mentors' or even their youth director's. Yet it is a commitment that requires support from all of those individuals and from all of us in this congregation.
Our pledge as a congregation is to support each other in our discipleship. Please pray for this new class of members. Please notice when they are not present and say that you missed them. Please invite them to share their gifts alongside you in ministries here at Reveille and to serve alongside you when you care for others. Please share your faith and invite them to share theirs. In this way their new commitment may help us renew our own.
The members of the class to be confirmed are the following:
Katie Cantone ~ Will Cox ~ Jamie Craven ~ Kate Daniel
Emma Farmer ~ Anna Fowler ~ Lofton Gentry ~ Ben Greer
Cara Klich ~ Cal Kuester ~ Hera Kunberger ~ Caroline Lea
Ben Manspile ~ Grayson Meck ~ Witt Moncure ~ Jed O'Neill Larus Reed ~ Collin Sandler ~ Claire Schweiker
Rachel Smith ~ Tatum Timmerman

Help Feed Richmond's Homeless
HOT MEAL TO BE SERVED MAY 24
Richmond's homeless population needs some helping hands on Thursday, May 24. We need volunteers to make potato casseroles and desserts. We also need helping hands to serve the meal at Greater Mt. Moriah Baptist Church. Meet us at Reveille at 10:45 a.m. and carpool or meet us at the feeding site. If needed, child care is available while serving the meal. Please e-mail Carol Uzzle in the church office if you need child care.
Please find the sign-up sheet and potato casserole recipes with drop-off instructions near the old welcome center and in the fellowship hall. For more information, please contact Mary Jane Walls here or call Carol Uzzle at 359-6041, ext. 117.
BAG LUNCHES TO BE PREPARED May 27 Come lend a hand to prepare bag lunches on Sunday, May 27, at 10:30 a.m. in the fellowship hall. If you would like to help pack or make sandwiches just join the group in the fellowship hall. If you would like to contribute food for the lunches, contact Jennifer Huneycutt here.

A Note of Thanks
Dear Reveille Members,
Thank you so much for your support of our recent bake sale. We were able to raise $310.50. These funds will be used to provide items needed by the children Reveille sends on scholarship to Westview on the James. Sleeping bags, duffel bags, water bottles, flashlights, toiletries, etc. are some of the many items we plan to purchase as part of our Girl Scout Silver Award project. Through your very generous support we are closer to the goal we have set.
Another fundraiser is also planned for this project. We are collecting cotillion dresses this month that will then be sold in early June. If you would like more information on how you can help, please e-mail us here or call the church office, 359-6041, ext. 114.
Again, we thank you so very much and were overwhelmed by your generosity.
Sincerely,
Mary Kern and Rachel Law
