Reveille Will Add 21 New Members

Nine months, 14 classes, 2 retreats and many monthly mentor meetings later, members of our confirmation class are about to take the next step on their faith journey. On May Confirmation20, twenty-one 8th grade students will make a profession of faith and become members of Reveille. These youth have studied the Bible, learned the history of the church and asked and wrestled with deep questions of faith. The decision to be confirmed is theirs, but their commitment is Reveille's commitment, too, as we embrace them into membership and support them as they live out their commitment to share their prayers, presence, gifts, service and witness here in our congregation.

The members of the class to be confirmed are Katie Cantone, Will Cox, Jamie Craven, Kate Daniel, Emma Farmer, Anna Fowler, Lofton Gentry, Ben Greer, Cara Klich, Cal Kuester, Hera Kunberger, Caroline Lea, Ben Manspile, Grayson Meck, Witt Moncure, Jed O'Neill, Larus Reed, Collin Sandler, Claire Schweiker, Rachel Smith, and Tatum Timmerman.

Please keep them in your prayers, not just for the service on May 20, but for their lifelong discipleship.

Hot Meal to be Served May 24

Friends of the Homeless 60%Reveille members have supported the Friends of the Homeless program for many years. Each month 160 - 200 appreciative people gather at Greater Mt. Moriah Baptist Church and rely on us to provide a nourishing noontime meal. For many it may be their only meal of the day. We are always in need of volunteers to make potato casseroles (recipe provided) and others willing to serve the meal on site. Child care at Reveille can be provided; just let us know in advance. Also, homemade dessert bars or cookies are especially appreciated.

Please consider helping with this worthwhile outreach ministry and add your name to the sign-up board near the welcome center or in the fellowship hall. If you have questions, contact Mary Jane Walls here or call the church office, 359-6041, ext. 117.
