  TopUnited Methodist Women Sunday

April 22

Reveille UMW members, working with our pastoral staff, have UMW logo 40%planned this Sunday's UMW Sunday service around the UMW theme "Overcoming Adversity." Women and children in our locally-supported missions face this challenge every day. From the YWCA Domestic Violence Shelter to the women in the women's prison, to the children at Swansboro, we see how they face economic and emotional problems each day.

Rev. Abby Kocher will bring us the message at the traditional services at 8:30 and 11:00 a.m., and Anne-Marie Himmel will preach at The Point at 9:30 a.m. UMW members will serve as greeters and worship leaders on April 22.

Help Richmond Friends of the Homeless

Sunday, April 22 - Bag Lunches Prepared

On the fourth Monday of each month we provide bag lunches for local homeless persons. This ministry is sponsored by the families of our 3rd - 5th graders, who invite all to come to the fellowship hall this Sunday at 10:30 a.m. to help make sandwiches or pack Friends of the Homeless 60%the bag lunches. If you would like to contribute baloney or individually-packaged chips, desserts, fruit, or boxed drinks, please contact Jennifer Huneycutt here

Thursday, April 26 - Hot Meal Served

Once each month, we feed approximately 160 men, women and children a hot noonday meal. Will you help by preparing a potato casserole or homemade dessert? Food can be dropped off ahead of time, labeled with FOH and your name. We also need five or six volunteers to come to Greater Mt. Moriah Baptist Church and help fill plates. Sign-up sheets, recipes, and drop off instructions are on the bulletin boards in the welcome center and fellowship hall. For more information, please contact Joanna Tilley here

VBS and Day Camp Registration

During the week of July 30-August 3, the halls and grounds of Reveille will be alive with children learning to live as disciples of Jesus Christ. This year our Vacation Bible School children, who are age three by September 30 through those entering the second grade in the fall, will be exploring the depths of God's love.

Our rising third through fifth graders will participate in Day Camp that same week. Their days will be filled with being God's presence in the world as they let light of God's love shine through their actions.

Don't forget to register your child online here:
