Wonderful Wednesday Dinner

April 18

Make sure to raise your bid so you don't miss that great getaway, delicious dinner or fantastic fashion! The youth auction ends on Wednesday, April 18 at 6:45 p.m. after the Wonderful Wednesday dinner. Following the close of the silent auction, the youth will hold a voice auction for some special items.

Join us at 6:00 p.m. for our fellowship meal. The menu is your Wonderful Wednesday 2choice of penne pasta with meat or tomato sauce, or chicken penne Alfredo with spinach, plus a garden salad, bread, and dessert. The cost is $7 for adults and teens, $3 for children ages 4 to 12 and free for anyone under 4. Make your dinner reservation here, by marking the Wonderful Wednesday box on the friendship pad this Sunday,or calling the church office (359-6041) by 3:00 p.m. on Monday.

Get Good Stuff AND Help Our Youth Outreach Programs

The fellowship hall is full of exciting items to bid on. There are Silent auction60+ local businesses that we know many of you frequent. Since you already go there, why not buy an auction item and help the youth, too? The money goes to Reveille's youth missions and you get to go to the places you like.  It's a win-win situation for everyone.

This year, we have our new BUY IT NOW! Program.  If you know that you want to purchase an item and don't want to take the chance of losing it at auction, contact Dwayne Stinson or Kay Craven before 6:45 p.m. on April 18, when the auction ends. You can pay full price and be sure to get your desired item.

Before, during and after dinner on April 18, you can watch your favorite items to make sure that you don't get outbid! You may arrive as early as 5:30 p.m. to get your game plan started.  Dinner will be served at 6:00 and bidding will end at 6:45.  A quick tally will be done, then hopefully, you will walk out of the fellowship hall with a few fun, new items. We will also have fabulous homemade desserts to auction off and services provided by our youth (babysitting, dog walking, etc.). Our exciting live auction this year will feature a wonderful dinner for eight provided by Fred and Carolyn Neurohr at their historic home in Powhatan, a new gas grill from Home Depot and an original watercolor by W. Baxter Perkinson, Jr.

Your support of Reveille's youth outreach programs is very much appreciated!

Journey 101: Loving God

Journey 101: Loving God will begin Sunday, May 13, meeting from 5:00 - 7:00 p.m. This six-week course will end June 17. The Loving God classes stress loving God through taking on regular spiritual disciplines as a means of receiving God's grace, resulting in the transformation of our hearts. Topics covered include worship, prayer, study, guidance, fasting and submission to God's will. Child care will be provided.

Through Journey 101: Loving God we anticipate that those participating will not only learn about and practice the spiritual disciplines around which the six weeks are built but will also form lasting relationships with a small group of other Christians who have gathered around their table each week. If such bonds do form, we encourage the small group to continue growing with the other two Journey 101 classes. It is our hope that these bonds will lead to the formation of a small group that will stay together for a longer period of time, growing together in intentional ways and serving God together.

Register for Journey 101: Loving God here. You may also e-mail Carol Uzzle, or call her at 359-6041, ext. 117.
