TopEaster Sunday Worship at Reveille

 8:30 and 11:00 a.m.

In celebration of the resurrection of Jesus Christ our Lord, two traditional services of Easter worship will be heldHe is risen indeed at 8:30 a.m. and 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Dr. Jim Noland preaching "The One Who Conquered Death" from John 20:1-18. Holy Communion will be served at the 8:30 service.

A 10-member brass ensemble will accompany our chancel choir and Reveille Ringers at these services. Members of the brass ensemble include our own Christopher Cantone, as well as Charlie Frise, Cameron Taylor, Lee Gray, Sarah Church, Brice Pully, Jake Wilkes, Harrison Howell, Josh Gall and Lisa Overmyer on timpani. This group will accompany the chancel choir's offering of "Gloria," from John Rutter's Gloria and will combine with members of our Monday evening handbell choirs in Douglas Wagner's, "Rondo Jubilate." They will also accompany congregational hymn singing.

Closing our Easter celebrations will be the third of ten celebratory postludes, Louis Vierne's "Final," from his First Symphony for Organ, which is quite popular as a wedding postlude.

9:30 a.m. - The Point

ButterflyEaster will be celebrated at The Point in the fellowship hall, and Holy Communion will be served. Rev. Abby Kocher will preach on the theme, The Power and Passion of Resurrection, from Mark 15:40-41, 15:46-16:7, and powerful music will be provided by CrossPoint.

Front Door will be Open for Easter

The paving in the front of the church will be completed before  Sunday and the front door to the sanctuary will be open. What a treat for members and guests to be able to park in front of the church and walk through our front doors to celebrate the resurrection of our Lord!

The Countdown is On!

From Monday, April 9 to Wednesday, April 18, the fellowship hall will be full of exciting Silent auctionitems to bid on. A silent auction to benefit Reveille's youth mission trips will be going on during that time. A list of items will be in each adult Sunday school classroom, as well as in the fellowship hall. Many of the auction items were mentioned in last week's Reveille Window. In addition, we will have homemade desserts for auction and youth services, such as babysitting, yard work, tutoring, and more. Please plan to support Reveille's youth by attending the Wednesday night dinner on April 18 and by bidding on the many wonderful items that have been donated. Care Packages for College Students

A real day brightener is to receive an unexpected gift in the mail. You are invited to help bring that ray of sunshine into the lives of our college students during exams and our young adults serving in the military by joining the College Ministry Team in preparing care packages. The care packages will be a reminder of Reveille's care and support for them.

Please stop by the bulletin board across from the choir room or check out the display Care packagesboard in the fellowship hall for more information and to see what you can contribute. Please take a flower petal that corresponds with the item you wish to bring AND write your name and item on the sheet provided. We are seeking a number of different items, from homemade cookies to ChapStick. If you would like to provide baked goods, please package them in a Ziploc bag and place them in a disposable Tupperware-like container that fits into an 8" x 8" box.

Please bring contributions to church by Sunday, April 22 and place them in the College Care Packages container in the fellowship hall or in the elevator alcove off the red carpet. Cookies need to be labeled and may be left in the church kitchen on April 22, when the care packages will be created.

Names of those receiving the care packages are listed on the board. You are encouraged to write caring notes to be included in the packages.

Please contact Amy Donald at 741-5355 or Carol Uzzle here or 359-6041, ext. 117 if you would like to help pack the care packages or have questions.
