2011 co-ed softball season begins June 6

Reveille has a co-ed softball team open to all members and frequent visitors. This is a slow-pitch league. We play with 10 people in the field, and there must be an even split of five men and five women. New players are always welcome to join us as well as spectatoSoftballrs to cheer on the home team. No skills are necessary, but it is helpful to have your own glove. The most important requirement is the desire to have fun and meet some other Reveille members.

We play on Tuesday evenings, starting on June 6, either at Byrd Middle School on Quioccassin Road or at Moody Middle School on Woodman Road near Our Lady of Lourdes Church. Our games begin at 6:30 p.m. or at 8:15 p.m. See upcoming issues of The Reveille Window for our schedule of specific dates, times and places.

If you are interested in playing, please e-mail Martha Hodges or call her at 241-2974.

Summer Choir has a place for you

The Summer Choir will begin singing in the 11:00 a.m. worship service on June 26 and will continue to sing on July 3, 24, 31 and August 7 and 14. This is an intergenerational group. All are welcome - children, youth, and adults of any age.

There are no night rehearsals. Just come to the choir room at 10:30 a.m. on the Sundays you can participate. The music will be easy enough to learn in just 20 minutes. The group will rehearse and then sit in the choir loft for that service. Composers of pieces to be sung include Mark Miller, John Rutter, Mark Hayes, Mark Burrows and others.

What to wear? Your regular clothes, no choir robes.

If you would like to participate, e-mail Cathy Armistead or call her at 359-6041, ext. 123.
